Birchwood Farms offers field-grown white spruce, Fraser and concolor fir, with saws supplied and cash-only payment. Humming Grove offers tagged trees and optional staff cutting at no extra charge. Compare complete costs
Angevine posts an $80 harvest-your-own tree including tax, with netting $5 extra. Maple Row posts $148 plus 6.35% tax on weekends, including Black Friday, and a $30 weekday discount on all trees. Syme lists a prepaid 5–8-foot balsam or Canaan fir at $87.68 total, including the tree, sales tax and processing fee; confirm the final total when booking. These are different selections and arrangements; compare the conditions with the price.
Choose the right day
Humming Grove’s tagged-tree arrangement differs from Syme’s prepaid date-and-time booking. Syme’s Christmas Barn does not need a tree reservation. Angevine has both reserved dates and walk-in days, while From the Woods announces tree, wreath and local-art sales November 27–29 and December 5, 10am–5pm. Its November 28 workshop description instead says 9am–5pm, so confirm that morning’s opening. Check each farm’s full schedule before travelling; a published calendar does not guarantee remaining trees.
Make time for the extras
Star Hill’s horse-drawn wagons, Santa photographs and farm shop offer a different outing from a simple field-tree trip. Rides and photographs have separate charges and calendars: reserve the wagon and use the arrival queue for Santa photos. Angevine’s Christmas Barn and From the Woods’ dated craft workshops offer other ways to extend the visit.
