Karabin’s announced choose-and-cut price is $90 plus tax. Cutting begins Saturday, November 21, then runs Saturdays and Sundays until sold out; weekday cutting requires an appointment. The farm names Douglas, Canaan, concolor and balsam fir and blue, Norway and Meyers spruce.
Saws and transport back to the farm are provided. Staff take the tree to the netter, make a fresh basal cut if needed and help secure it to your vehicle. No separate processing fee is stated. Power saws and dogs are not allowed. Ice, snow or poor growth can bring an early end to cutting.

Precuts and the country store
Published farm information also lists precut balsam and Fraser fir. Confirm their current sizes, availability and price separately from the field-tree offer.
The country store sells wreaths, garlands, poinsettias, gifts, soap, candles, gourmet foods and farm meat. Soup, coffee, cocoa and doughnuts are listed as available purchases rather than complimentary refreshments. Animals and a portable toilet are also described.
Field hours and store hours
The previously published store season gives daily 9 am–5 pm from April 1–December 23, while the association more broadly says daily to Christmas. Confirm the final holiday shopping days. Store hours do not make field cutting available every day: the operator’s announced tree plan is weekends, with weekday cutting by appointment, subject to stock and weather. The association’s older arrangement asks visitors to cut before 4pm; confirm the current field last-cut time when arranging a visit, rather than using the store’s 5pm closing.
Use 860-620-0194 or farmingct@cox.net for tree and store arrangements; 860-621-2058 is the separate fax number. Tree-removal bags and long-stem watering funnels are among the separately sold care supplies.
Keep the fresh cut in water
Set the tree in water promptly, keep the stand filled and place it away from heat. If setup is delayed, ask whether the base needs another fresh cut. The farm’s care sheet and the national growers’ guide both make regular watering a central part of caring for a cut tree; use plain water.
