Find your tree
Choose your Christmas tree.
Treat Farm has grown Christmas trees for the choose-and-cut market for more than thirty years. Its holiday page describes spruce and fir, while the regional profile also names Fraser fir, white and blue spruce and precuts. Ask which choices are ready before travelling for a particular variety.
Tagging can hold a field tree for collection later. The old posted deadline is Sunday, December 12 unless separately arranged, and the opening notice gives November 26 and weekends 9am–5pm without a year. Confirm the new calendar and tag deadline before marking a tree; those old date combinations are not a current-season promise.
Published varieties
- Fraser fir
- White spruce
- Blue spruce
Which variety suits your decorations?
General tree guidance; the farm’s selection, sizes and services are described above.
- Fraser fir
- Upward branches and good needle retention; firmer branches can suit heavier ornaments.
- Blue spruce
- Blue to silver-blue foliage with sharp needle tips.
- White & Black Hills spruce
- Gray-green to blue-green needles, less sharp than blue spruce.

Cutting and transport
Handsaws are supplied and power saws of any kind are prohibited. Staff can trim stray branches and bale the tree. Customers transport and tie it to the vehicle; twine is supplied, but the farm recommends bringing the straps or equipment suited to your car.
Payment and seasonal rules
Cash, local checks, debit and credit cards and Apple Pay are accepted. Pets are not permitted during the Christmas season, and there are no public restrooms. The Old Tavern Road farm in Orange is separate from Robert Treat Farm in Milford. Autumn corn-maze and hayride arrangements do not describe this Christmas visit.
