Maple Hollow’s current homepage opens November 21 at 8am. Choose-and-cut trees are $85 plus tax and Blue Tag trees $65 plus tax, with precuts individually marked. These new-season prices supersede the older $80/$60 FAQ figures.
The farm’s main varieties are balsam and Canaan fir, white pine, blue spruce and white spruce. The FAQ describes most choose-and-cut stock around 7–9 feet, rarely taller than 9 feet. Brought-in precuts from the farm’s Massachusetts operation and partner farms extend the usual range to about 7–11 feet, subject to the day’s actual inventory. The older FAQ also gave precuts from $75; use the current individual price tags rather than that earlier starting amount.
Handsaws and twine are supplied, and staff can help tie the tree to the vehicle. Cards are accepted. There is no tagging for later cutting, so plan to select and take home the tree on the visit.

Prices and seasonal hours
The farm stays open only until sold out, and weather can change the hours. Monday is closed, Tuesday–Friday 11am–4:30pm and weekends 8am–4:30pm, with an 8am start on Friday November 27.
Christmas Barn and dogs
The Christmas Barn opens during the tree season with handmade wreaths, arrangements, ornaments, decorations and gifts. It is a useful stop after field selection rather than a separate all-year shop schedule.
Friendly dogs must remain leashed, and owners must clean up. A disruptive dog may need to stay in the vehicle. Professional mini-sessions have separate photography arrangements; use that program’s terms rather than treating tree shopping as a session booking.
Contact the farm at 860-489-8184 for current tree stock and photography arrangements. The Christmas Barn’s seasonal opening does not change the Monday closure shown in the tree-selling schedule.
Book a professional photography session
The farm offers separate October and November field access for photographers. One-client sessions cost $25; half- to full-day access for multiple client sessions costs $75. November 15 is the last announced photography day, before the tree-selling season.
A date is not reserved until both payment and the property-use agreement have been submitted. Contact Jesse Steadman at least one week ahead to confirm availability; payment determines the first-come booking order. The farm limits photographers per day and simultaneous sessions. This is farm access for your own professional photographer, separate from that photographer’s portrait package.
An individual session may include up to ten people, excluding the photographer. Larger groups require staff presence and an additional payment by arrangement. The fee gives no exclusive use of the property or a particular spot, and other photographers may be working elsewhere.
Use the visitor parking off Carpenter Road within the roped and flagged area. Do not disturb other visitors, remove vegetation, litter or park elsewhere; farm safety and crops take priority. The agreement makes the photographer responsible for the party’s conduct and resulting damage. Rain gives an opportunity to reschedule, without a stated cash-refund promise. Confirm the chosen date before making plans.
