Choose and cut
Previously posted price $85; yellow-tag character trees half off. Bring a handsaw if possible; limited farm saws are available.
Shop precuts here
Hattertown alone carries the previously posted precut range, from $75 and individually marked. Weekday precut visits need an appointment. Confirm current stock and price.
The Hattertown farm is Paproski’s main Christmas-tree location. In addition to choose-and-cut trees, this is the only branch with the published precut selection: Fraser, balsam, Douglas and concolor fir and white pine. The earlier page lists precuts from $75, with individual prices marked. The Sugar Lane field has its own entrance and does not carry these precuts.
The earlier tree page’s choose-and-cut price is $85, with yellow-tag ‘Charlie Brown’ trees half off. A cash discount is offered without a stated amount. The farm describes Norway, blue and white spruce and some Douglas fir in its fields, plus taller cathedral trees without a guaranteed height range. Confirm current stock before choosing a branch.
Bring boots, gloves and a tarp to drag the tree. Limited handsaws are available at both farms, and visitors are encouraged to bring a manual saw; chainsaws are prohibited. Staff offer help netting and strapping trees to vehicles; ask about any handling charge when choosing your tree.

Calendars and tagging need confirmation
The earlier tree calendar opened Hattertown on Friday, November 28, noon–4:30pm, and ran through December 21.
The main schedule says Saturdays 9am–4:30pm and Sundays 9am–3:30pm, while a lower block gives a 4:30pm Sunday finish. The upper instructions allow weekday appointments for Hattertown precuts only; an older paragraph also mentions tagging and broader weekday visits. Confirm Sunday closing, tagging and appointment scope before relying on them.
The current contact page separately advertises a Friday November 27 opening from noon–4:30 pm beside its newer fall information, without a year directly on that tree line. It differs from the tree page’s older calendar; confirm the new dates for this particular entrance rather than combining the two calendars.
Greenery and the farm’s other seasons
The shared tree page advertises handmade wreaths, sprays, swags, cemetery blankets and boxes made by the Paproski family; confirm availability at this field if it is your only stop. Christmas Eve and Christmas Day are closed in the published calendar. The main farm’s dog policy excludes pets during regular business hours, with a separate autumn Dog Day; confirm its application to your chosen tree field.
Corn mazes, sunflower events and hayrides are separate farm programs with their own dates and admission. They are not included in a Christmas-tree purchase.
Professional photography needs a separate booking arranged in advance. No current session price, duration or photographer package is established. For tree enquiries, the operator asks visitors to text 203-470-7204 or email CastleHillFarm.net@gmail.com; that text contact is distinct from the main farm phone.
A separately booked wreath workshop
The contact page lists upcoming December wreath-workshop details as to be announced. The linked workshop poster and public ticket listing still describe a past December 3 event at Foundry Kitchen & Tavern in Sandy Hook: an 11:30 am brunch session or 6 pm dinner session, $55 per person including wreath materials and tools. Restaurant meals and the bar were available separately, not included in that workshop fee.
Those are past-event examples, not a current booking offer or an activity at either tree field. The older public booking policy allowed cancellation at least three days before the event and weather-related rescheduling or a voucher for another date or event; it did not promise a cash weather refund. Check renewed dates, venue, price and terms before booking.
