Cavanna’s offers cut-your-own Christmas-tree visits at its Woodland Street farm in South Glastonbury. The tree fields are distinct from the Gray Granite Railroad’s seasonal experiences, so arrange the outing you want rather than assuming a tree purchase includes a train ride.

The family’s tree fields sit alongside the working Gray Granite Railroad, which follows a wooded ridge and Roaring Brook through the farm. Tree selection and the railway are different arrangements: check the field’s selling hours, available sizes and cutting or handling help before combining them in one trip.

The Gray Granite Railroad at Christmas

The railway runs through the tree-growing part of the farm, with cabins used for Christmas visits with Santa. The published North Pole Express account describes a personalized visit: parents send children’s names and details beforehand and bring wrapped gifts that are passed to Santa. The account also describes John Cavanna lighting woodstoves in the visiting cabins for the holiday season.

This is a separately arranged experience. Confirm its current dates, ticket price, booking, arrival and cancellation conditions with the farm. Summer berry and autumn pumpkin rides do not establish the Christmas schedule or tree-price inclusions.

Seasonal farm extras

The published holiday account describes hot cider, twinkling lights, hayrides and warming bonfires as part of the Christmas atmosphere. Their dates, prices and connection to particular bookings are not specified, so ask which will operate on your visiting day; they are not promised as complimentary tree-purchase inclusions.

Railway farm tours also operate at other times of year, including berry picking in summer and pumpkin picking in autumn. Those are separate seasonal outings, with their own arrangements rather than extra Christmas activities.

Find the farm

The visitor farm is at 80 Woodland Street in South Glastonbury, within Glastonbury. Use the general farm contact for the tree visit and current railway arrangements; older train-specific contacts should not be treated as a separate tree farm.

The public farm profile says credit and debit cards are not accepted. Arrange a suitable payment method with the farm when confirming the tree visit or separate railway booking.
