From the Woods’ current Christmas-sales announcement offers precut balsam and Fraser firs, wreaths and local art. The earlier tree article described limited 6–8-foot Canadian balsams; confirm the new range and heights before travelling. The farm’s original growing fields are not advertised for visitors to cut.
The announced public sale is November 27–29 and December 5, 10 am–5 pm until sold out, with free admission. The November 28 glass-workshop description instead gives tree-shopping hours of 9 am–5 pm that day. Confirm the opening time if arriving early; the older one-week calendar on the Christmas page is a different season. Public access is during posted hours or by appointment.
Published varieties
- Balsam fir
- Fraser fir
Which variety suits your decorations?
General tree guidance; the farm’s selection, sizes and services are described above.
- Fraser fir
- Upward branches and good needle retention; firmer branches can suit heavier ornaments.
- Balsam fir
- A notably fragrant choice with soft needles.

Wreaths, gifts and the farm setting
Wreaths, custom ribbons and local artisan gifts accompany the precut trees. Current sale information includes animals, hot chocolate and popcorn; the earlier Christmas article also described cookies and a fire. Confirm those earlier extras before planning around them, and do not assume refreshments are free because sale admission is free.
Other visits and pets
Dogs are not allowed, to protect the farm animals. Weddings and the art workshops are separate bookings; a workshop ticket is not the price of a Christmas tree. Review the farm’s participant terms before attending; its posted agreement includes farm-activity responsibilities and a photography/media-use consent.
Holiday art workshops
The pottery-painting evening on November 20, 6–8pm, welcomes all ages. Choose a fourteen-inch vintage ceramic tree with base for $95, including lights and bulbs; an eight-inch-long, four-and-a-half-inch-tall vintage truck for $60; or a seven-and-a-quarter-inch votive tree for $45. Reserve directly with Heidi at Brushstrokes Pottery and Paint on 860-309-0745; this is the workshop organizer’s line, separate from general farm enquiries.
The November 28 fused-glass workshop runs 1–3 pm with Denise from Deebee Glass. The ticket is $65 plus a $1.63 service fee to make three ornaments, with collection the following weekend after kiln firing. All ages are welcome. Book separately from tree shopping, and confirm the sale’s 9 am versus 10 am opening-time difference before arriving early.

General farm enquiries go to 860-205-3382 or Amy@FromtheWoodsFarm.com. Heidi’s separate 860-309-0745 call/text number is for pottery-workshop reservations, not a replacement for the farm contact. Agree the selected workshop’s tax, collection and cancellation terms before booking.
