Harvest your own

$80 including tax, with supplied saws and limited tree wagons. Netting is an extra $5; busy dates require an online reservation.

Ready-cut or tabletop

Marked ready-cut trees in the lower farm vary by size and type. Tabletop trees by the Christmas Barn need no reservation, while supplies last.

Angevine’s current season offers harvest-your-own trees at $80 including tax ($75.22 before tax), with blue spruce, Fraser, concolor, balsam and Canaan fir and white pine. Saws and a limited supply of tree wagons are provided. Dress for outdoor field walking and bring the helpers needed to move your chosen tree.

Connecticut-grown ready-cut trees are marked in the lower farm and priced by type and size; the growers profile describes tabletop trees through 8 feet and taller. That profile says precuts do not require reservations; confirm how to reach the ready-cut area on a busy harvest day. Tabletop trees around the Christmas Barn can be bought without a reservation while supplies last; call before seeking several small trees. Netting costs an additional $5.

Reservations are online only. A $30 deposit is credited toward the tree, with a credit slip collected at Reservation Check-In on arrival. Booking opens November 1 at 7am. Required dates and walk-in days have different arrangements, so choose the right visit arrangement rather than phoning for a reservation.

Choose a reserved or walk-in day

Reservations run in half-hour slots from 9:30am to a last 2:30pm arrival on November 22, 27–29 and December 5–6. No reservation is needed December 4, 11–13 or 18–20, when the farm opens 10am–4pm. Christmas-week hours depend on remaining trees.

Wreath Barn, gifts and refreshments

The Wreath Barn offers wreaths, garlands, swags and decorate-your-own wreaths; ask about the current arrangements for decorating. The Christmas Barn carries greenery and gifts. Hot chocolate and local baked goods are offered through December 13. Restrooms are listed. The farm advertises a veteran discount with ID; confirm the amount and eligible purchase before paying.

Use 860-868-7226 for tree questions, including multiple tabletop trees. The separate 860-601-5906 contact is for events, photo shoots, groups and wreath information. Neither number replaces online-only tree reservations. Professional photography and scenic-site hire have their own booking arrangements.

The Christmas Barn’s two-room shop carries ornaments, local art and gifts, honey, maple syrup, tree stands and stars, alongside handmade wreaths and home decorations. Its exposed beams belong to a former tobacco barn, later used for egg processing, giving the holiday shop its distinctive farm setting.

The barn also houses a historic Robert Morton theater pipe organ and a Steinway player piano, instruments the farm describes as having entertained visitors for decades. Their presence is a feature of the barn rather than a promise of a performance during every shopping visit.

The growers profile also announces a November 21 Holiday Open House, with field cutting beginning November 22 by reservation. Confirm the open house’s hours and activities before planning a separate visit; that earlier day is not an extra field-cutting date.

Professional photography by appointment

Professional photographers can reserve farm access at $40 per hour or $300 for an eight-hour day. Each booking is for one photographer, who must hold a separate appointment and provide proof of their own insurance. Payment is required to reserve; the farm can discuss date changes or inclement weather.

Tree fields, the pond and seasonal farm areas offer different backgrounds. A small cottage-style shed with electricity is available as a meeting base by separate arrangement; ask which areas and shed terms suit the session you want.

Field vehicles are prohibited. Bring a wagon for props if needed, remove every prop and decoration when leaving, and respect other customers’ privacy during public opening. Arrange the check-in time and place with the farm before arriving. These are paid professional-session conditions, separate from choosing a Christmas tree.

Scenic ceremonies by separate arrangement

The farm separately offers outdoor ceremony sites for gatherings of up to 250 people, with Justice of the Peace services available and a 12×20-foot shed as an optional part of arrangements. It currently does not host receptions. Request availability and a quote from Lisa at 860-601-5906 or Lisa@AngevineFarm.com; this is separate from tree shopping and photo-access fees.

Choose a stand that keeps the base in water

The farm recommends a fresh cut of about half an inch before setup and a stand that holds at least a gallon, with enough water capacity for the trunk’s diameter. Keep the cut base submerged in plain water and check it daily. Avoid trimming the trunk’s sides to force it into a small stand, and keep the tree away from heat. Tree stands are among the Christmas Barn’s separate purchases.
