Merry Berry Valley is Jones Family Farms’ separate harvest-your-own tree location at 555 Walnut Tree Hill Road. Its field page describes balsam fir, blue spruce, white pine and a larger concentration of Fraser fir than Candy Cane Hill, with Douglas fir fields nearby across the road. Trees up to about 10 feet are the usual branch offering; larger fresh-cut trees are at Barnyard Village.
The driveway and parking operate only during the three-day Thanksgiving weekend and first December weekend. On other days, park at Barnyard Village and ask the greeter about crossing to the Valley fields. Do not plan a daily drive-in visit to the 555 entrance. On peak weekends the Valley has its own reservation and greeters at the red flags explain stock and tram arrangements.
Bring a tarp to drag the tree to a pickup or baling point. Handsaws and twine are supplied; manual saws are permitted, axes and chainsaws are not. Tree trams are limited to suitable weather and dry roads, and staff do not retrieve trees from the fields. Plan the physical work and vehicle tie-down yourself; staff tying help depends on availability.
Reservations and practical choices
The previously published farm-wide season ran from the Saturday before Thanksgiving through December 24, closed on Thanksgiving Day. The Valley driveway still has its narrower peak-weekend parking calendar; the wider season does not provide daily parking at 555 Walnut Tree Hill Road.
The shared harvest arrival window is 9am–4pm. Reservations are required on the peak weekends, but the booking page still carries the previous season’s year; check the newly released Valley product before setting a date. Cards including Apple Pay are accepted. The shared FAQ describes extra charges for peak-day cars not buying trees; confirm the current amount and scope.
The general weather policy allows self-rescheduling through the confirmation email. Other cancellations, refunds or switches between farm locations have a $5 office fee if arranged before the reservation date; no-shows are not refunded. The farm usually opens in rain. If severe weather makes the farm close, it offers rescheduling or a full refund. Check the current tree booking’s timing because the general and tree-specific pages give different change cutoffs. The tree-plan page says changes up to two hours ahead, while the general weather policy says one hour; change early and follow the conditions of the actual reservation.

A field visit with a separate Barnyard stop
Warm sturdy shoes and layers suit the hilly, uneven tree terrain. Each harvest-your-own family receives the dated Woodbury Pewter ornament. Leashed well-behaved dogs stay on paths and need cleanup; they cannot enter the gift/wreath barns or winery.
For fresh-cut trees, wreaths, gifts and purchased cider or cookies, visit Barnyard Village separately. No tree delivery is offered. Shared rules prohibit tailgate parties, tents/chairs, smoking/vaping and ball play; simple car-side snacks differ from outside food prohibited in the Barnyard Courtyard. The FAQ prohibits cooking despite conflicting wording on a parking page, so confirm any uncertainty rather than assuming permission. Professional photography, drones and outside vendors are prohibited. Children under 13 need an adult; carry out your rubbish.
Tree questions after purchase
The farm offers help with tree concerns and an exchange policy. The tree-care page gives treequestion@jonesfamilyfarms.com for tree issues. The linked concern form is closed and directs concerns to farmer@jonesfamilyfarms.com. Ask the farmer about your particular tree rather than assuming an automatic refund. Keep a freshly cut trunk in plain water and use a stand large and sturdy enough for the tree.
