Field search

Choose and cut from the available firs and spruces. Free carts help move the tree to the baler and car; no tagging.

Fresh-cut alternative

A ready-cut choice is advertised for a shorter visit. Confirm the available type, height and individual price.

Giant tree appointment

10–15-foot trees need an advance email appointment. Arrange the size, availability and handling before travelling.

Hartikka offers choose-and-cut trees and a fresh-cut alternative for a shorter visit. Its published harvest selection includes Fraser, Nordmann, balsam, Canaan, concolor, Korean and Turkish fir, plus blue, Meyer and Oriental spruce. Stock varies across the fields, and the farm does not allow tagging: select from the trees available during your visit.

Giant trees measuring 10–15 feet are a separate advance arrangement. Email the farm before travelling to discuss availability and schedule an appointment. The older association description extends to 16 feet, but that does not enlarge the direct operator’s stated appointment range.

Saws are supplied, although the farm recommends bringing a handsaw if you have one to reduce waiting at busy times. Free tree carts let you wheel the tree to the baler and then to the car; the association describes wrapping at no charge and twine for securing the load. Twine provision does not guarantee staff tie-on, so arrange the help your vehicle needs.

Selling hours and getting to the fields

The operator posts a November 27 opening, weekdays 10am–4:30pm and weekends 9am–4:30pm. All fields close at 4:30pm. Check the farm’s Facebook updates for bad-weather closures before leaving.

The direct operator address is 262 Wylie School Road; the association still gives 257 as a GPS address. Confirm the current entrance rather than treating the variants as two farms. The association describes ample parking near the trees and restrooms, without a verified whole-site accessibility claim.

Wagon rides, fresh greens and weekend food

The current tree page advertises ROL Haven Farms horse-drawn wagon rides November 27–29 and December 5–6, 10am–3pm. Confirm this season’s actual sessions and fare; older association dates describe a different programme and should not be combined with these sessions.

Weekend food vendors offer hot chocolate, donuts and wood-fired pizza. These are purchases from vendors, rather than refreshments included with a tree. Fresh wreaths and garland are made daily, and stands, bags, trays and preservative are sold. Wholesale wreath specifications on the separate trade page are not retail-purchase promises.

Cash, checks and visitor rules

Bring cash or a check made out to Hartikka Tree Farms LLC, with legal identification for every check. Credit cards are not accepted under the published policy. Leashed dogs are allowed with cleanup.

No tailgating, group gatherings or parties are permitted in the parking fields. A quick snack, drink or sandwich after harvesting is allowed; plan a larger gathering elsewhere.
