Choose your Christmas tree.
Averill Farm has advertised choose-and-cut Christmas trees, cider and wreaths at its hilltop Washington Depot location. The visitor address is 250 Calhoun Street in Washington.
The farmstand offers its own cider and cider donuts, jams and jellies, regional pies, maple syrup, honey, cheese and gifts. Fruit picking and Christmas-tree sales have separate seasonal arrangements.
Check the tree-season arrangements
Current general stand hours are 9:30am–5:30pm until the daylight-saving change, then a 4:30pm finish. Tree-field hours are separate; confirm the current Christmas-tree opening and field schedule before travelling.
Use 860-868-2777 or susan@averillfarm.com for current tree-opening information. The orchard entrance is separately listed at 262 Calhoun Street; ask which arrival point serves tree sales rather than applying the fruit-picking entrance to every visit.
Plan a separate market or pie pickup
The market’s High Five apple pies are normally offered Fridays and Saturdays, with Sunday supply depending on demand and weather. Call ahead for a large order of pies or donuts.
The published Thanksgiving pie menu prices pies at $27 each, with orders due November 15 and collection Wednesday November 25, arranged by phone, email or in person. Confirm the menu and pickup date before ordering; those Thanksgiving arrangements do not establish Christmas bakery stock.
