Sterling Community Center’s sale is at 2283 Main Street in Stratford. Its previously published tree prices were $95, with orange-tag trees at $45. Wreaths were $40 decorated or $30 undecorated. Tree species, height tiers, tax and payment terms were not stated, so confirm the chosen tree’s current price rather than treating those tag categories as equivalent sizes.
The earlier sale announcement described volunteers helping visitors choose and load fresh-cut trees. That preparation help does not make this a choose-and-cut field visit. Sales continue only while supplies last; check for the next fundraiser announcement before setting out.
Sale hours and the open house
The earlier opening weekend was Saturday November 29, 10am–5pm, and Sunday November 30, 9am–5pm. From December 1 it ran weekdays 1–7pm and weekends 9am–7pm until sold out. These are tree-sale hours, distinct from the center’s ordinary building schedule.
The earlier November 29 opening-day 2–5pm open house included cocoa, cookies, music, storytime, house tours, crafts, face painting, letters and Mrs. Claus. Those were event-specific activities; check a new announcement before planning them as part of tree shopping. Sterling House is an earlier name for the same center, not a second lot.
| Item | Price |
|---|---|
| Standard precut Christmas tree | $95 |
| Orange-tag tree | $45 |
| Decorated wreath | $40 |
| Undecorated wreath | $30 |
Bring something for the community drives
An earlier open-house announcement welcomed a food item for the pantry or a toy for the toy drive alongside tree shopping. Confirm the next collection’s requested items and arrangements with the center before bringing a donation.
The earlier Community Christmas Toy Shoppe drive accepted new, unwrapped toys and gift cards through December 17. The center’s main office is 203-378-2606 for current event and donation information; the old deadline does not establish the next collection period.
