A walk through the fields and a fresh-cut tree lot offer different ways to shop. Bear Swamp has field trees and precut Fraser firs; Farms View displays trees upright so you can see each side. Garden centers add greenery and holiday plants. Check the particular branch, tree format and remaining species before setting out.
Compare the full price
Tree prices may be flat, individually tagged, or tied to species and height. Bear Swamp’s posted prices include sales tax, while Giamarese prices its precut Fraser firs separately from field trees. Keep size ranges, tax, payment conditions and handling or delivery charges beside the quoted amount.
Match the selling day
Some growers open for a short window rather than every day until Christmas. Wolgast announces two selling days in late November, subject to stock, weather and field conditions. A Santa visit or holiday market has its own timetable; it does not establish the tree lot’s full hours. Use each guide’s selling details and the operator’s latest notice.
Bring the right plan
Saws, staff cutting, netting and help securing a tree vary by location. Bear Swamp permits hand saws and leashed dogs, while Giamarese asks shoppers to visit the market before the field and arrive at least 90 minutes before closing. Check delivery areas, pet rules and separate event bookings for the place you choose.
