Choose your Christmas tree.
Woodsedge combines Christmas-tree growing with beekeeping on a preserved 75-acre farm. Its earlier seasonal field guide lists fir and spruce around 5–8 feet and white pine to 10 feet. The previous season sold out after three busy weekends, so confirm current opening and the trees ready to sell.
For visitors who prefer a ready-cut tree, the operator has offered fresh firs cut weekly, around 8–9 feet and individually priced. Supplied or visitors’ own saws are also listed for the field. Use a tree wheeler to bring back your choice, or ask staff about ferrying it with the farm’s utility vehicle. Shaking, pin-stand drilling and baling are provided at no added cost.

Compare the published tree choices
These are the farm’s published variety and size descriptions; check the actual field and ready-cut selection before travelling.
| Selection | Size and useful traits |
|---|---|
| Canaan, Fraser, balsam, concolor and Korean fir | Field choices around 5–8 feet, described as soft, aromatic and strong-branched. |
| Norway spruce | Around 5–8 feet, with stiff branches for ornament support. |
| White pine | Around 5–10 feet, with soft, deep-green foliage. |
| Ready-cut firs | Earlier selection around 8–9 feet, cut weekly and individually priced; confirm current stock. |
Greenery and the Christmas barn
Handmade wreaths and grave blankets are made at the farm from its own greens and natural materials. Call ahead with special requests. Tree stands and decorations are separate purchases.
Browse cutting boards, wooden bowls and other crafts made from farm wood, together with beeswax candles, soap and raw honey. A wood stove, complimentary hot chocolate and cookies make a warm break after the fields.
Honey beyond tree season
Honey is sold in 12-ounce or two-pound jars, with purchases arranged by contacting the farm throughout the year. Ask about limited bulk beeswax; handmade soap is also sold in the Christmas barn.
Spring wildflower honey is lighter, mild and floral. Summer honey is medium amber; fall honey is darker amber, with the later honeys described as stronger in flavor. Ask which jars are available when ordering.
Payment, pets and the approach
Cash, checks and major credit or debit cards are accepted. Well-behaved dogs are welcome on a leash, with cleanup required. An earlier seasonal notice prohibited tailgating because parking was limited; confirm current parking and group arrangements.
The association baseline is November 21–December 13, Thursday–Sunday, 10am–4:30pm; the roster does not state a year. From Green Pond Road, turn onto Beechwood Road and continue about half a mile to the farm on the left.
Protect the stand hole and keep water topped up
The tree-care guide advises a straight half-inch cut from the base before setting the tree in water. If the trunk has been drilled for a pin stand, remove no more than a quarter-inch so the stand hole is not shortened too much. Put the tree in plain water promptly, use a water reservoir holding at least a gallon and check and refill it daily.
