Choose your Christmas tree.
The Evergreen Farm combines its own choose-and-cut trees with fresh pre-cut trees from nearby farms while growing stock replenishes. Its field selection includes Fraser, concolor and Canaan fir and Colorado blue spruce, with most trees 5–9 feet. Field trees are $12 per foot regardless of variety.
The field price includes staff cutting, carrying the tree downhill, shaking, baling, optional pin-stand drilling and tying it to your vehicle. Pre-cut trees reach 12 feet and are individually priced by height and variety. Larger trees carry a surcharge, but the tree page and FAQ disagree on whether it starts above 10 or above 12 feet; confirm the full price before choosing a tall tree.
Pre-season tagging is by booked, 30-minute appointment on the first two weekends of November, beginning November 7. A $25 deposit reserves the selected tree for later collection. Ordinary sales open November 21 at 10am on the specific days listed below.

The farm visit.
Choose the feel and shape you prefer
The farm’s variety guide compares foliage, color and branch shape. Use these descriptions to narrow your choice, then check which varieties and sizes are available in the field or ready-cut selection.
| Variety | Useful differences |
|---|---|
| Blue spruce | Blue-toned foliage and strong branches for ornaments; sharp to the touch. |
| Canaan fir | Long, soft needles with a bottlebrush appearance and a blue or silver tinge. |
| Concolor fir | Citrus scent, long soft needles and more space between branches; a leaner shape than Douglas fir. |
| Douglas fir | Full green shape, a robust base and short, soft needles. |
| Fraser fir | Deep green foliage, sturdy branches and short, soft needles. |
Cider, cookies and a decorated doorway
While the crew prepares the tree, enjoy complimentary warm cider made from home-grown apples and homemade cookies. The small holiday shop offers handcrafted wreaths in 30-, 36- and 48-inch sizes, decorated or plain and customized to preference.
White-pine or premium roping, kissing balls, potted greenery and grave blankets complete the range. Compact potted trees can be planted outside after Christmas; reserve by phone and ask about the right planting place and care. Call or email ahead for greenery pickup. Tree delivery is offered by enquiry, with arrangements and cost to be confirmed.

Bring the dog on a leash
Dogs are welcome on a leash, with cleanup expected. Check the current tree selection and weather conditions before travelling to Bass Lane; published directions identify the second driveway on the right.
From the car to the stand
Put the tree in clean, fresh water promptly at home. The farm advises cutting another inch from the trunk base if it has been out of water for 4–6 hours. Keep the netting on until the tree is in its stand; if storing it first, choose a cool, shady place sheltered from wind and heat. Check often that water still covers the trunk base.
