Tagging, cutting and collecting
Only designated tagging fields are available; unmarked growing fields are held for future seasons. Have an Exley’s employee tag the tree and pay before cutting. Customer cutting is allowed with a bow saw only, with no power saws.
For a tagged tree pickup, submit the pickup request at least three days ahead. Netted trees can be tied to a vehicle with sisal rope; the operator disclaims responsibility for vehicle damage. For a living tree, choose the pre-dug balled-and-burlapped stock: personally selected field trees are not dug. Leashed dogs are welcome with cleanup, and no flocking is offered.
Santa Land and the holiday band
Weekend activities begin November 28, 10am–4pm, with Santa through the December 19–20 weekend, weather permitting. The $10-per-person holiday band includes the hayride to the tagging fields and Santa Land, animated holiday houses, outdoor Thomas train and the live Santa treehouse experience. The large indoor train display is free to visit.
Wreaths, roping and grave blankets are sold at the garden center. Tree shopping and activity times differ; plan field selection before its 4pm closing time.

Photography and arranged visits
Professional photographers must email chris@exleyslandscaping.com for the Sewell branch’s terms before arranging a session. Ordinary family photo settings do not confer permission for professional sessions.
For separately arranged spring, summer or fall events, enquire at the Monroeville branch through exleyfarms525@gmail.com. These arranged events are offered at Monroeville only.
Separate online tree-request option
Exley’s shared online request form lists Norway spruce, Douglas fir, blue spruce, Canaan fir, Turkish fir and concolor fir. The form does not identify a branch or season year. Confirm the collection branch, current price and availability of the species and height you want; these online options are not a guarantee of walk-in prices or field stock at this branch.
Submitting a request does not confirm an order and requires no initial payment. The form says the farm will call to confirm availability and send an email receipt within 24 hours. Pay by Venmo after confirmation rather than treating the request itself as a reserved tree.
Delivery is arranged and quoted separately. If requesting it, you will be contacted by Caleb Hoffman’s delivery service to confirm pricing and details. Delivery is paid in cash or by Venmo on delivery, separately from the tree-payment confirmation process.
| Requested tree height | Published online price | Before confirming |
|---|---|---|
| 5 feet | $79.97 including sales tax | Online request only; confirm current amount, availability and branch |
| 6 feet | $95.96 including sales tax | Online request only; confirm current amount, availability and branch |
| 7 feet | $111.96 including sales tax | Online request only; confirm current amount, availability and branch |
| 8 feet | $127.95 including sales tax | Online request only; confirm current amount, availability and branch |

Compare the online-request tree choices
The online form supplies the following choice guidance for its named options. Judge the individual tree and confirm its current availability; these descriptions do not promise that every species or height is ready at both farms. For Norway spruce, the form advises an indoor stay of about three weeks, which is planning advice rather than a guaranteed period of freshness.
| Online option | Published choice description |
|---|---|
| Norway spruce | Short dark-green needles and sturdy branches; farm recommends about three weeks indoors |
| Douglas fir | Medium-green needles of medium length and mid-weight branching; the form describes longer indoor keeping, without a freshness guarantee |
| Blue spruce | Sharp needles and stiff branches for heavy ornaments |
| Canaan fir | Dark-green needles, fragrance and medium-stiff branching; the form describes lasting well indoors, without a freshness guarantee |
| Concolor fir | Citrus scent and softer medium-to-long needles |
| Turkish fir | Listed online option; ask the farm about the available tree’s characteristics |
Sewell tagged-tree pickup routes
Give at least three days’ notice for a tagged-tree pickup and call before departure in rain or other inclement weather. The pickup page lists Tuesday–Thursday, except Thanksgiving, 9am–4pm at 1535 Tanyard Road. Its form instructions instead exclude both Monday and Tuesday, so confirm Tuesday availability directly before travelling.
Friday–Sunday pickup is listed as 9am–4pm by the red-barn entrance off Salina Road. These are Sewell pickup routes and times, separate from the garden-center shopping hours and from the Monroeville branch.
| Pickup arrangement | Where and when | Conditions |
