Choose your Christmas tree.
Wyckoff’s offers field cutting and a separate fresh-cut selection, which can be supplemented from other farms. Compare the varieties and height bands below, then check the actual stock: sizes can change through the season. Individual price tags include sales tax. Field trees 8 feet and under average $16 per foot, while larger premium trees can cost more; colored trees add $4 per foot.
Hand saws are supplied and power saws are prohibited. Shaking, baling and pin-stand drilling are free, although trees too large for the shaker cannot be shaken. Stands are sold separately. Trees cannot be ordered ahead, but custom wreath and greenery orders are welcome.
An earlier county guide also lists balled trees for this farm. Call about current rooted-tree stock, sizes, prices and collection arrangements if you want a tree for planting.

The farm visit.
Compare the tree choices
The farm’s variety pages describe the following choices. Its concolor page currently marks that fir unavailable for the season and suggests Canaan instead; check directly for any change. White-pine availability and sizes are not specified. A Victorian tree describes an open branching style for larger ornaments rather than a separate species.
| Tree | Field / fresh-cut sizes | Useful differences |
|---|---|---|
| Fraser fir | Field 6–10 feet; fresh-cut tabletop–10 feet | Dark upper needles with lighter undersides give a two-tone appearance. |
| Canaan fir | Field 7–12 feet; fresh-cut tabletop–12 feet | Dense, pyramid-shaped growth, deep green or bluish foliage and a pleasant scent. |
| Douglas fir | Field 6–10 feet; fresh-cut tabletop–10 feet | Soft dark-green or blue-green needles, sweet-smelling when crushed. |
| Blue spruce | Field 5–9 feet; ask about fresh-cut stock | Symmetrical form and blue foliage; needles have sharp tips. |
| Norway spruce | Field 7–10 feet; ask about fresh-cut stock | Dark green triangular crown and drooping branchlets. The farm advises waiting until early December to cut. |
| Victorian style | Ask about sizes and current availability | More open branching leaves room for larger ornaments. |
Choosing a colored tree
Colored trees carry the extra $4-per-foot charge above the tagged tree price. The operator’s linked buyer information identifies the finish as a latex-based Christmas-tree paint. The farm warns that baling can loosen colorant and that flakes may fall onto the floor when the tree is opened at home. Read the supplied information and ask the farm about any concerns before choosing this finish.
Greens and the Christmas barn
Fresh wreaths, swags, white-pine roping, grave blankets and other greens can be ordered to suit. The Christmas Barn carries ornaments, porch decorations, holiday signs, teacher gifts, potpourri and tabletop trees with stands, making it a useful second stop after choosing a full-size tree.
The farm also advertises Little Ridge wine in the barn; confirm availability when visiting. A trip to the vineyard itself is a separate offsite outing. Hayrides depend on weather and the current schedule.
Entrance, selling hours and payment
Use the signed entrance at 246 County Road 519, by mile marker 39. The posted baseline is weekends and Black Friday 8am–4:30pm, with other weekdays 10am–4:30pm. Confirm the current opening and last selling dates, especially before using an earlier soft-opening notice. Weekend visits between 10am and 3pm are the busiest.
Visa and Mastercard are accepted. Dogs and onsite tailgating are not permitted.
Keep the tree supplied with water
The farm’s care guide recommends a fresh quarter-inch cut before putting the tree in its stand. Keep water available, check the level daily and place the tree away from heat sources.
