The operator pages disagree on the tagging cutoff: first week of December versus the day after Thanksgiving.
Choose your Christmas tree.
At the Long Valley Plut farm, visitors choose among fir, pine and spruce, then staff handle the cutting and return. The crew cuts, drags and trims your tree to fit its stand, then bales and ties it to your vehicle. Do not bring saws: the operator explicitly asks visitors to leave them at home.
Field trees are posted at $60 for 5 feet plus $15 for each additional foot; pre-cut trees have individual tags. Advance tagging is offered, but the operator’s pages disagree about its cutoff, so confirm when tagging ends before making an early selection trip.

Tagging and collection
The posted calendar starts weekend tagging on October 3, 8am–4pm, and the homepage permits tagging through the first week of December. Cutting and pickup start Friday November 27, then continue Friday–Sunday 8am–4pm through December 20. The getting-your-tree page instead stops tagging at the day after Thanksgiving; confirm which cutoff applies before an early selection trip.
Greenery, payment and dogs
Handmade wreaths, candy canes, kissing balls, decorations and stands accompany the trees. Cash and checks are accepted; a gift-shop ATM is available after Thanksgiving. Leashed dogs are welcome. This is the Flocktown Road branch, separate from the Washington farm on Route 31. The Long Valley branch email is plutstreefarm220@gmail.com.
