Choose your Christmas tree.
Airport Tree Plantation describes more than forty acres for a choose-and-cut visit, with Douglas fir and blue spruce. Saws and wagons are provided, and the operator expressly permits a customer’s own chainsaw. Use the farm’s current instructions for its safe use rather than assuming another farm’s tool policy applies.
For tree choice, the operator describes blue spruce as having needles ranging from dark green to powdery blue and a generally symmetrical form. Douglas fir has soft dark green needles, a mild fragrance and a dense, conical shape.
Shaking, baling/netting and drilling for stand-straight stands are free. Stand-straight tree stands are sold at the farm. Leashed dogs are welcome with cleanup, so the outdoor tree search can include a well-managed pet.
