The farm visit.
The entrance and ground conditions
Enter from Delanco Road at the white Kenlin Tree Farm sign and park near it. The farm is northeast of the Perkins Lane intersection, marked by a blinking traffic light. It has no numbered street address; a map search can place you nearby without selecting the correct entrance.
The operator describes flat fields and wide aisles that can accommodate wheelchair passage, with an important ground condition: after rain or snow, muddy soil can let wheels sink. Check conditions for your mobility needs. Well-behaved leashed dogs may accompany the search; bring cleanup bags.
Timing the cut
The operator’s recurring season is Saturdays and Sundays after Thanksgiving, 9am–4:30pm. The growers’ association posts a November 28–December 13 range without a year; confirm the current opening and final weekend before travelling. Kenlin advises keeping a spruce indoors for no more than three weeks, so consider your intended decorating date when choosing a cutting day.
Put a freshly cut tree into its stand with water as soon as possible. Kenlin recommends a fresh ¼–½-inch base cut if it will not be in the stand within about three hours of cutting. The farm advises watering two or three times daily for the first few days, then at least once or twice daily, keeping the trunk supplied with water throughout.
