The farm visit.
Find a field tree or a taller Fraser fir
Walk the field for white pine, Norway spruce, balsam or concolor fir. The precut Fraser fir selection offers a different choice, with trees described at roughly 7–11 feet. The field-tree price is per tree; precut prices vary with the selection.
Only hand saws are permitted, and there are a limited number to borrow. Trees cannot be tagged for a later return, and the farm does not sell dug trees.
Match the branches to your decorations. The farm describes white pine as soft and long-needled with good needle retention, but too flexible for heavy ornaments. Norway spruce has stronger ornament support and softer needles than blue spruce, with fair needle retention.
Balsam fir offers a sweet aroma, soft dark-green needles and medium-strength branches. Concolor has long, soft needles with a blue tinge; both firs are described as retaining their needles very well and supporting medium-weight decorations.
The barn shop and fresh greenery
The Christmas shop fills three bays of the log barn, with a wood stove, hot chocolate and a changing selection of handmade goods. Look for baked treats, jams and jellies, handcrafted ornaments, jewelry, pottery, knitted or woven gifts. Food and gifts are purchases; refreshments are not described as complimentary.
The farm also makes fresh garland and wreaths and sells cut boughs. These are separate from the tree purchase.
| Selection | Posted price |
|---|---|
| Fresh garland · 20 feet | $25, including sales tax |
| Handmade wreath | $35–$45, including sales tax |
Reserved autumn photography sessions
Professional photographers may reserve client sessions during October and November through Thanksgiving Day. Sessions are not permitted at other times, and the photographer must arrange the visit with Allison Hosford in advance.
The posted fee is per client session, with a day rate when the photographer has three or more sessions in one day. Text Allison on arrival so she can greet you and collect the fee. Visits to look around outside tree-selling hours must be accompanied by Allison or another family member.
For this autumn photography program, the farm states that no facilities or shelter are available. Dress for the weather and choose footwear for uneven natural ground.
| Session arrangement | Posted fee |
|---|---|
| Individual client session | $40 per client session |
| Three or more client sessions in one day | $100 for the entire day |
