The farm visit.
A small remaining field selection
The latest seasonal announcement describes mostly Norway spruce, with a few Canaan and concolor firs and Scotch pines remaining. Trees range from less than four feet to some over nine feet, at one posted price regardless of size. This is a small remaining field selection, so check the trees available before travelling.
Borrow a saw for the field, or ask the team to cut your choice, help carry it and secure it to your vehicle. Axes are not permitted. Cash, checks and credit cards are accepted, with card payments dependent on working technology.
The planned opening is the Saturday and Sunday after Thanksgiving. A further weekend or later appointments are possible only if trees remain; neither is a guaranteed extension. Call on the day of your visit because stock, weather or field conditions can shorten the opening.
Handmade greenery and apiary goods
Grave blankets are made by the family from farm-grown evergreen boughs beginning Thanksgiving week. The approximately 42-inch blankets and tree stands have separate posted prices. Advance orders are welcomed.
| Selection | Posted price |
|---|---|
| Grave blanket · approximately 42 inches | $35 each |
| Tree stand | $30 each |
Honey and beeswax
The apiary range includes liquid, infused and chunk honey, candles, lip balms, handcrafted soaps, lotion bars and one-ounce beeswax pieces for crafting. Honey comes in one-pound and three-pound containers, with one-pound glass jars also described in the seasonal notice. Spring Wildflower is light and floral; Fall Wildflower is more robust and fruity. Blueberry-blossom and cranberry-wildflower honey comes from other New Jersey beekeepers.
Honey and other apiary visits are by appointment.
Farm tours and hands-on classes
Group visits can explore the farm’s trees, wildlife, beekeeping and mushroom growing. Schools, Scout troops, clubs and other groups arrange the visit with Cathy; a tour is separate from ordinary tree shopping.
The current seasonal notice also mentions hands-on honey-extraction classes and mushroom-log workshops. Ask the farm about actual sessions, fees and arrangements before planning a class visit; no open-session timetable is established.
