Choose a field walk, a pre-cut tree or a living tree
Wilkens and Tilden Lane offer both field cutting and pre-cut shopping. Battenfeld and Wonderland invite you into their tree fields, while Elwood lets you cut or ask the crew for help. Bell’s also has living potted trees. Check the individual farm’s species and size choices before setting out.
Compare the price for the tree you want
Tilden Lane announces 2026 trees from $100. Plains View posts a $75 cut-your-own price including tax, and Saltsman posts individually priced trees at $11–$16 per foot; those two offers have no stated year. Stokoe distinguishes premium field trees, discount-field trees and pre-cut sizes. Each listing keeps the price basis and its date scope together.
Pick your day and check reservation rules
Bell’s announces November 27–December 14, 2026, Friday through Monday; Woody Acres has a November 21–December 19, 2026 calendar. Wilkens requires a reservation per tree for November 28–29, with its $40 payment credited toward the tree. Tilden Lane opens on selected dates. Saltsman and Solvang retain their latest published selling calendars, while some other farms post a recurring seasonal pattern.
Leave time for the Christmas outing

Battenfeld posts weekend horse-drawn wagon rides and weather-permitting Santa visits.
