The farm visit.
Help from the fields to your car
Borrow a saw if you have not brought one. If cutting the tree yourself is difficult, the staff can help. They bring the tree down, bale it and assist with loading and tying it to your car.
The farm has a tree shaker and a drilling machine, with compatible stands available. Waterers, cleanup bags and preservative are also offered. Pay for your tree with cash or check.
At home, put the trunk into water straight away and keep the tree in a cool place.
Hayrides and Grandma Wade’s cookies
Weather permitting, tractor-drawn hayrides take visitors to the tree fields. Hot chocolate, apple cider and homemade cookies made from Grandma Wade’s recipe are offered for a warm break. Leave time to enjoy a drink and a cookie after finding your tree.
A dog-friendly outing and wooden gifts
Bring your dog if it is friendly with both people and other dogs. Keep it leashed and clean up after it while walking around the farm.
The farm also makes distinctive wooden gifts. Look over the selection while you are there; the handmade pieces depend on what is in stock.
