Christmas tree farm guide
Christmas tree farms in Michigan.
Make a Christmas tree trip through Michigan’s Lower Peninsula, from the Grand Rapids area and Allegan to Mason, Saginaw, the northern tree country and the communities around Detroit. Walk the rows to cut your own, or choose a pre-cut tree for an easier stop. The farms below bring together tree choices, prices and the Christmas extras that can turn the errand into an outing.
Choose the field walk or a pre-cut stop
Bosch’s, Lenderink, Janke, Hart, Tannenbaum and Star offer field cutting alongside pre-cut trees. At Vultaggio’s Kingsley farm, follow the marked cutting areas and choose a tagged tree. Its Metro Detroit pre-cut lots are separate locations. Dutchman’s choose-and-cut visit uses the Walker Road retail entrance beside the main farm.
Compare height tiers and tagged prices
Hart has separate regular and small-tree price lists, with different fir, pine and spruce rates. Star posts height tiers and a separate pre-cut price. Bosch’s sheet ranges from pine and spruce prices to tall-fir tiers, while Tannenbaum’s rates are per foot by species. Peacock gives an average of about $11 per foot, with each tree individually priced. Check the tree’s tag, and include any stated card fee in your budget.
Fit the trip to the selling timetable
Lenderink publishes its November 21–22, 2026 opening weekend, and Star begins November 21, 2026. Hart, Janke and Tannenbaum retain their posted selling calendars. Bosch’s posted selling calendar is undated and closes Sundays. Dutchman sells on Fridays and Saturdays, with midweek visits by appointment. Activity dates belong to the activity they describe; Peacock’s Santa trains have their own 2026 calendar and reservations.
Leave time for the Christmas extras
Lenderink includes hot drinks, trailer rides, the bonfire and marshmallow roasting with a tree purchase. Bosch’s woodland Santa trip is a separate per-person ticket, and Peacock’s three Santa trains are separately reserved group experiences. Dutchman offers a free zip line and petting zoo; Hart has free weekend wagon rides. The individual farm pages keep the activity times, prices and visit conditions together.
