Choose your Christmas tree.

Fraser, Concolor and Korean firs are the main field choices, primarily from 6–12ft. The farm trims them with a looser shape to leave space for ornaments. A very small selection of spruce and Scotch pine is also described. Choose only a tree marked with a price tag.

Candy Cane no longer offers living potted trees.

The farm visit.

A saw, a cart and help at the service area

Pick up a saw and cart when you arrive, then explore the 16 acres of fields at your own pace. When you have cut your tagged tree, bring it to the service area. The crew trims lower branches as needed, shakes out loose needles and wraps the tree for transport.

Shaking, wrapping and drilling are included in the tree price. Drilling is for customers using the farm’s compatible pin stands, and string is provided for tying the tree to your car. Major credit cards are accepted. Dogs can join you on a leash; please clean up after them.

Custom wreaths and finishing the decorations

Browse freshly made wreaths in the barn, with different sizes and shapes available or made to order. Porch pots and other greenery give you another way to bring the farm’s evergreens home. Tree stands and other Christmas essentials are additional purchases.

If you use a Super Pin Stand, ask for the complimentary hole in the tree’s base before leaving. Keep the tree wrapped while carrying it inside and fitting the stand, then remove the wrapping once the tree is upright.

The posted newsletter coupon takes $3 off a tree purchase. Sign up through the farm’s coupon page, print the coupon and present it to the cashier. It applies to trees only and cannot be combined with other offers.

Santa, letters and the Little Donut Factory

Santa’s posted visiting pattern covers the first two weekends of the tree season. Children can use the farm’s letter template, and the farm says it will make sure their letters reach Santa.

The Little Donut Factory food truck serves fresh donuts and hot beverages. Leave time for a drink and a treat around your tree hunt; the Santa pattern and food offer are separate from the latest selling-season dates.

Keeping your tree fresh

If the tree will wait before going into its stand, store it upright in a bucket of water. Keep the wrapping on while moving it into the house, and make a fresh cut close to the time you put it into water. Check daily that the trunk base stays submerged.

The barn also sells a watering stick to make refilling the stand easier. A fresh tree can drink a great deal during its first week or two, so keep checking rather than letting the reservoir run dry.

Family photographs and professional sessions

Take family photographs while choosing your tree. Professional mini sessions require advance registration and scheduling with Cathy before the selling season opens, at the posted rate of $75 per hour. Professional photographers cannot bring mini-session clients once the farm opens for Christmas tree sales.
