Broadview Christmas Tree Farm

At Broadview, a field tree or a pre-cut tree can be the start of a longer family outing. Saws are provided for the rows, and free shaking, baling and drilling help prepare the choice for home. Wagon rides, a visit with Santa and a warming barn add to the Christmas setting, while the gift shop brings wreaths, roping and tree supplies together in one stop.

Choosing and preparing your tree

Pick from the rows with a provided hand saw, or browse the pre-cut selection for a shorter visit. The cut-your-own prices differ by species and include a separate Andy’s Grove Fraser fir offering. Pre-cut fir and pine prices start at different amounts, giving you another way to compare the choices.

Tree shaking, baling and drilling are free. These services clear loose material, wrap the branches for transport and prepare the trunk for a pin-style stand.

A wagon ride and a warm stop

Wagon rides and Santa are part of the Christmas visit. The warming barn offers refreshments and a place to take a break from the fields, with a gift shop to browse before heading home. Pets are welcome on a leash.

The large parking area has space for tailgating. Broadview invites visitors to bring their own entertainment, so a tree trip can include time together at the farm after the search.

Greenery and supplies for home

Wreaths, thirty-foot roping, gifts, tree stands and removal bags are sold with prices marked on the items. A water-holding stand is useful for keeping the new tree supplied with moisture once it is indoors.

Keeping the tree comfortable

If the tree will wait before decorating, keep it outdoors in a sheltered spot away from wind. Make a fresh straight cut removing at least one inch from the base before putting it promptly into water, then check the water level daily. Keep the decorated tree away from heat, inspect light strings and connections, and turn the lights off when leaving or going to bed.

Arriving and paying

The farm is on North Hickory Ridge Road, three miles north of M-59. The posted regular day runs from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., but Thanksgiving finishes at noon. Bring cash or a check for tree shopping, or use the on-site ATM.
