The farm visit.

A wagon ride into the fields

Hop on a wagon, borrow one of the farm’s saws and look for a tree that suits your room. Tree carts bring your choice back for preparation before you pack it for home. Dress for the weather and allow time to enjoy the fields.

Fraser fir has short soft needles and good retention. Concolor has a citrus scent and firmer branches; blue spruce has stiff branches suited to heavier ornaments. White pine’s softer foliage suits lighter decorations, while Scotch pine offers the familiar long-needled shape.

Fresh greenery for the door and mantel

The traditional mixed-green door wreath uses Scotch pine, blue spruce, cedar and white pine, finished with cones and red velvet ribbon. Fresh wreaths come in several sizes and types; custom pieces can be requested.

Measure for garland before arriving: the farm sells it in 20, 30 and 50ft lengths. Door swags, roping, centerpieces, mailbox swags, mantel greenery and boughs are available on request.

The indoor Christmas shop and Santa

The indoor Christmas Shop offers ornaments, decorations, gifts and the annual farm ornament, with cookies and hot beverages available. Local maple syrup is also sold, including syrup made from sap from the farm’s own trees.

Posted Santa visits take place in the Christmas Shop on November 28–30 and December 6–7, 10am–4pm. These recurring activity dates are separate from the tree-selling timetable.

Private farm outings

Guided hayrides, cookouts and bonfires can be arranged as separate group outings. The concession cabin is also offered for day or evening rental for gatherings of up to twelve people. These arrangements are separate from an ordinary tree-shopping visit.
