Bosch’s Countryview Nursery

The Christmas visit at Bosch’s starts at the 84th Avenue entrance, with a choice between walking the fields and browsing pre-cut trees in the barn. Saws and sleds help with the trip back, and the crew can shake, bale and drill the tree before it goes home. On selected days, a separate wagon trip carries families into the woods to Santa’s cabin for hot chocolate and s’mores.

The farm visit.

Finding and preparing your tree

Use the black sleds and hand saws to bring a field tree back to the barn, or pick a pre-cut tree there. Staff measures the tree before payment. Shaking, baling and drilling are included when wanted; tell the crew if your stand needs a drilled trunk. The farm asks visitors to protect seedlings and leave roadside windbreak trees standing.

Spruce buyers have an extra timing consideration: the farm recommends cutting spruce after December 1 to reduce needle drop, and does not cover needle loss. Watch for stumps, holes and slippery ground as you walk the fields.

Santa’s cabin in the woods

A horse-drawn or tractor-drawn wagon carries visitors to a cabin in the woods for a visit with Santa. The $12-per-person ticket includes the wagon ride, hot chocolate and s’mores by the campfire. Buy tickets at the refreshments booth inside the barn; the farm directs guests to pick up their hot chocolate while checking out there.

Around the Christmas barn

The barn brings pre-cut trees, tree stands, wreaths and garland together in one stop. Hot beverages and snacks are sold on Fridays and Saturdays, making it an easy place to warm up after the field walk. Restrooms are available inside, with portable toilets outside. Dogs may join the visit on a leash.

Arriving at the right entrance

Enter at 10604 84th Avenue for Christmas tree shopping. The Pierce Street driveway is the exit, so plan the approach from 84th Avenue. Give yourself enough daylight for choosing and moving a field tree: the selling day ends at dark.
