Christmas tree farm guide
Christmas tree farms in Georgia.
Georgia tree farms grow cypress, cedar and pine for a walk through the fields, while many also bring in pre-cut Fraser firs. These farms span North Georgia, the Atlanta region and South Georgia, with different ways to choose a tree and spend the day.
Field trees and firs
Leyland and Murray cypress and Carolina Sapphire appear throughout Georgia’s fields. Fraser firs are usually brought in pre-cut. Farms such as Bottoms offer both field trees and imported firs.
Compare the full cost
Some farms price by height, others tag each tree individually. Bottoms lists field trees at $10 per foot; additional costs can include flocking, baling, visitor admission or paid activities. Check each farm’s price conditions before comparing totals.
Plan the right day
Seasonal schedules differ sharply: some farms open daily, others on selected weekends. Santa visits, markets and photo sessions have their own times. A listed opening schedule does not guarantee remaining trees; check the operator’s updates before traveling.
Help with your tree
Many farms supply saws or offer staff cutting, shaking and baling. Confirm what is included, especially if you need loading help or a tall tree. Professional photography, school visits and large groups may require a separate reservation.
