The farm visit.

Tree choices and tall trees

Most trees stand in the field until selected. Pre-cut Fraser firs arrive from a grower and are promptly stood in water. Trees carry tags with their height and price.

Many Murray × Leyland cypress trees exceed 10 feet and the tallest regular trees are about 12 feet. A limited number may reach 18 feet; call ahead for these. Potted trees are also sold under the barn.

For a Fraser fir 10 feet or taller, the farm asks to hear from you by June each year. Contact it about the next available ordering window.

From field to vehicle

Park near the old tobacco barn and follow Candy Cane Lane past animals, picnic space, photo stops and the playstack. Saws and gloves are in the red shed; look for staff in red shirts if you need help.

Use a cart to return your cut tree to the barn. The crew shakes, bales and ties it to the vehicle or loads it. Single-spike stands are sold and the crew can drill a tree for that stand.

Drinks, wreaths and picnic time

Hot chocolate and apple cider are free. Marshmallow-roasting packets are sold for the fire pit, and yard games are set up near the picnic tables. The farm does not sell meals; bring your own food to use the picnic area.

Handmade wreaths start at $40 for a 20-inch undecorated wreath. Larger wreaths and advance pickup orders are available; call and ask for Sheryl. Ornaments, custom cards, toys and other small gifts are sold under the barn.

Practical details

Leashed dogs are welcome if you clean up after them. Cash, checks, credit and debit cards are accepted. Accessible bathrooms are available; the field is described as fairly flat, without a full accessible-route assessment.

Personal family photography has no fee. Professional photographers bringing clients pay a separate time-slot fee.
