A hand saw is supplied at the entrance. Cut only tagged trees, leaving untagged trees standing. Cut low, then bring your tree to the pavilion; keep the lower ticket portion to pay and to leave with the tree.

Pre-cut firs are displayed under the pavilion. Staff remove them from stands and prepare them for the journey home.

Tree handling and payment

Netting, stand-hole drilling and help tying the tree to your vehicle are offered at no cost. Tree stands are sold separately and tips are appreciated. There is no designated cutting crew; ask the pavilion staff if you need cutting assistance. Chainsaws are prohibited.

Tree purchases accept cash, cards and Apple Pay, but not checks or Cash App. Admission and animal feed require cash. Park along the tree lines without blocking roads.

Weekends on the farm

Tree buyers receive wristbands at the pavilion for the playgrounds, farm animals and photo sets. Without a tree purchase, buy admission at the entrance. The Christmas Greenhouse is not included; Santa is included with admission when scheduled.

Wagon rides do not operate during tree season because parked cars leave too little room. The country store opens Black Friday and weekends, 10am–6pm, with handmade vendor gifts, jams, jellies, salsa, cider and warm drinks.

Wreaths and photographs

Fresh wreaths may be pre-ordered, with special requests through Chrissy on extension 2 or sleepyhollowtrees@gmail.com. The last posted schedule began wreath sales after November 19; confirm availability before collecting an order.

Professional photographers must book through the farm’s website. The latest seasonal notice barred photographers after November 23; confirm the current deadline before arranging a session. Tree buyers can take personal pictures; other personal-photo visitors need admission. The greenhouse has its own arrangements.

Before you go.

  • Give the tree a fresh trunk cut at home and keep the stand watered, away from heat and direct sun. The farm advises waiting until Thanksgiving to cut Carolina Sapphire and keeping it in a bucket of water for 3–4 days before bringing it indoors.
