Trees To Please offers a 30-acre choose-and-cut field and a pre-cut lot at its Norridgewock farm. In the field you pick and cut your own tree; the farm lists saws and carts as provided and baling as available. Pre-cut trees also have baling available, and the lot is set up in the outdoor retail area with stands and lighting.

The farm’s Christmas page lists this season’s choose-and-cut tiers as 6 feet or less, 7 feet, 8 feet, 9 to 11 feet and 12 feet and taller, and its pre-cut tiers as 5 to 6 feet, 7 feet, 8 feet and 9 to 11 feet. The Maine Christmas Tree Association’s listing for the farm names balsam fir and Fraser fir; the farm’s own Christmas page does not name species. Tree prices are not published; confirm at the farm.

Choose-and-cut and pre-cut trees

The choose-and-cut field covers 30 acres, as the farm’s home page describes it; the association’s listing says 26. The farm lists saws and carts as provided and baling as available, and it also offers pre-cut trees with baling. Its pre-cut stock comes from the family’s second farm in Rome, which grows trees for the Norridgewock lot and for wholesale and has no visitor offering of its own.

The farm has not published this season’s daily hours, closing date, weather rule or terrain. Its previous published page listed daily hours of 9am to 4pm, free help with cutting, dragging, baling and loading on weekends only, and self-service with free baling Monday through Friday. None of that is repeated for this season, so ask before you come, and especially before a long drive.

Gift shop

The former fall farm stand is decorated for the season as a Christmas gift shop, filled with decorations and gifts. The Maine Christmas Tree Association’s listing adds wreath-decorating supplies and local handmade gifts. The farm gives no separate opening date for the shop and its whole Christmas business reopens on November 27; the Maine Christmas Tree Association’s listing also gives November 27 for the shop. The farm gives no prices for the shop. Leashed dogs are not allowed inside the gift shop.

Live potted trees

The farm says to check back in November for live potted trees. None are listed yet, so no sizes, species or prices are published.

Parking, payment, dogs and restrooms

The farm lists parking and a restroom. It takes cash, debit cards, credit cards, Apple Pay and Google Pay, and does not take checks.

Leashed dogs are welcome outdoors and must stay leashed at all times; waste bags are available inside the gift shop on request. Accessibility, refunds and directions beyond Route Eight are not published.

Wholesale trees and the nursery are separate

The same business sells wholesale Christmas trees to other businesses and runs a plant nursery and garden center in spring through fall, with an online shop listed as coming soon. Those are separate from a family tree visit and are not described here.

The farms behind the lot

Trees To Please manages about 45,000 Christmas trees across two farms: the 76-acre Norridgewock farm, where you visit, and an 11-acre farm in Rome that supplies the pre-cut lot and also holds the family’s maple sugar bush.
