Quinn’s Tree Farm grows balsam fir on about 30 acres in Cornville and plants about 3,000 trees a year. The farm’s home page says it offers balsam fir, balsam hybrid firs and Korean fir, and its wholesale page describes award-winning balsam and balsam–Fraser hybrid grown on the farm. The farm does not say which trees stand in which field.
When you arrive you are given a handsaw and the chance to explore the fields for your tree. Gas saws are not allowed, but you may bring a battery reciprocating saw. Back in the sales area you can have the tree shaken and baled for free to get it home safely. Choose-and-cut trees are $60 up to 8 feet, with an additional $8 a foot above that, and the farm also sells pre-cut trees for $35 to $100.

Which Cornville address to drive to
The farm’s Facebook page and local news coverage give 290 West Ridge Road, Cornville, a property the Quinn family bought and cleaned up a few seasons ago that was formerly a Christmas tree farm known as The Forest. The state association’s listing gives 18 Huff Road, Cornville, instead.
Both addresses are in Cornville, ZIP 04976, and the farm has not said which one receives visitors on tree days. Confirm the field location with the farm before you drive.
Opening day and hours
The farm’s home page announces opening day as Friday, November 27, and the farm describes its season as running from the day after Thanksgiving until Christmas Eve. It has not posted daily hours or a closing date.
The Maine Christmas Tree Association lists 10am to 4pm on the weekends leading up to Christmas and weekdays by appointment; that listing is undated, so treat it as a guide. The farm closed one weekday last season because of forecast bad weather and has published no standing weather rule. At the end of last season, trees were self-serve until Christmas with saws and a cash box, and the gift shop was by appointment; the farm has not said whether it will do the same this year.
Species and the Wild Woods
The farm’s own pages name balsam fir, balsam hybrid firs and Korean fir. The state association’s listing also describes sheared cultivated trees alongside what it calls The Wild Woods, trees left to grow on their own. That description is undated and does not appear on the farm’s own pages, so ask whether the Wild Woods area is open this season.
Wreaths, garland and the gift shop
Beyond trees, the farm says it offers wreaths, garlands and other greenery, kissing balls and “primitive” signs, and it has run a gift shop in the building used for wreath-making and storage. Prices for these items at the farm are not published; confirm at the farm.
The gift shop has no published hours; at the end of last season it was open by appointment, and the farm’s Facebook page was the place to message about items. Its contents are not listed.
The online gift shop ships separately
The farm’s online store sells wreath gift boxes and shirts for shipping. These are separate from a farm visit, and the store’s product pages are undated, so check that an item is still offered before ordering. Custom wreath orders are taken by email.
| Item | Price shown on the store |
|---|---|
| Buffalo Balsam Cornville Christmas Wreath and Gift Box | $64.99, free shipping |
| Ass Over Teakettle Bloody Mary Wreath Box | $74.99 |
| Tupper and Friends Maple Syrup Wreath Box | $79.99 |

Wholesale and property services are separate
The farm’s company, The Cornville Christmas Tree Company, also sells balsam and balsam–Fraser trees and wreaths wholesale to trade buyers; its posted wholesale price lists are from the previous season, with minimums of 25 trees and 30 wreath units. Wholesale is not part of a retail tree visit.
The same company offers summer and winter property maintenance in and around Cornville, such as mowing and snowplowing. That is a separate service with no published prices.
What the farm has not published
The farm has not published payment methods at the field, parking, restrooms, accessibility, dog rules, group visits or directions, and its pages do not mention Santa visits, hayrides, cider or other events. They describe a choose-and-cut and pre-cut tree visit with wreaths and a gift shop.
The Quinn family and the farm
The Quinn family has roots on Cornville’s West Ridge, and the farm began small, selling 66 trees in its first season, all choose-and-cut. Matt Quinn and his father Jeffrey run it. Matt also keeps a YouTube channel about the farm, linked from the farm’s story page.
