Choose-and-cut trees and the published prices

The farm offers choose-and-cut Leyland cypress at $11 per foot, and says it also grows Carolina Sapphire and Blue Ice trees. Netting and shaking are free. The farm calls this choose and cut; it does not say whether it lends saws or helps with the cutting, so ask when you arrive. It also does not describe tagging, tree sizes, baling or loading help.

The farm’s price page gives these rates without a season date. They are the farm’s published rates, not a confirmed price list for this season, so confirm the price of the tree you pick before you cut. No tax, payment method or minimum purchase is published.

The Christmas tree farm tour is listed for school groups

The farm’s home page says its Christmas tree farm tour is available for school groups and must be scheduled in advance. The farm’s booking box says space is limited and reservations are required. The Christmas school tour price is $8 per person, and teachers are admitted free. Booking is by phone or email only, because the farm’s Book Your Tour page has no booking form. The tour page repeats the public Christmas hours and gives no separate tour dates.

The farm lists nine features under its tour. The pages describe them for school groups and do not say whether any of them is open to ordinary visitors who come to buy a tree, or whether any admission applies to them, so public access at Christmas is not stated for any feature below.

The pumpkin patch is a separate fall season

The farm runs a pumpkin patch from October 1 to November 1, with its own admission, and it ends before the tree farm opens. Its zipline, horse rides and concession stand belong to that fall admission and are not listed for Christmas. The farm’s Facebook page gives the pumpkin season as October 1 to November 1.

The farm’s pumpkin-season prices are not part of a tree visit, so they are not repeated here.

The farm, getting there and contacts

The farm is at 604 Ashley Road 485 in Hamburg, which is the street address on its Facebook page; the website’s map pin agrees, and the website text gives directions only. The farm’s own directions are in the table. The farm says to watch for signs. Its pages do not say whether it lends saws or helps with the cutting, how trees are tagged, how you pay, whether pets are welcome, whether there are restrooms, parking or accessible paths, so ask about those.

For information and tour booking, call 870-853-2379 or email oldmilofarms@gmail.com. The farm also posts on its Facebook page.
