Choose your Christmas tree.
Willey’s is a precut Christmas-tree lot, with Fraser fir, Balsam fir and Fraser/Balsam cross from 3 to 12 feet. Trees come mainly from the family’s New Hampshire growing area, with some Virginia supply. The height and price are marked on each flag; the individual tree’s shape, fullness and colour affect its price.
The operator’s posted premium example from the earlier season is $142–$167 for a 7–7-foot-5-inch tree, with individual trees sometimes above or below that band. Treat this as a published example to confirm, not a promise of the current tag. Trees are left slightly taller than their stated size to allow for the fresh trunk cut offered at the lot.

The farm visit.
Choose a fir and fit it to your stand
The operator describes Fraser fir as the dense, sturdy-branched choice, Balsam as the most fragrant with a more open shape, and the Fraser/Balsam cross as a balance of fragrance and flexible but strong branches. Compare the actual tree’s fullness and branch spacing with the ornaments you use; the price flag identifies that individual tree.
Measure both your room’s width and height and your stand’s maximum trunk diameter before choosing. Willey’s recommends a straight exposed trunk section about 6–8 inches long, and advises against shaving the trunk to force a tree into a smaller stand. Bring the rope or straps and a roof-protecting tarp or blanket you need for your vehicle.
A fresh trunk cut is offered at the lot. Plan to put the tree in water promptly after arriving home; the FAQ gives a 6–8-hour limit after cutting and notes that recently untied branches can take another 6–8 hours to settle before decorating.
| Selection | What distinguishes it |
|---|---|
| Fraser fir | Dark blue-green needles with a silvery underside; dense, sturdy branches |
| Fraser/Balsam cross | Fragrant; flexible but strong branches |
| Balsam fir | The most fragrant option; flexible, more open branches |
Natural and decorated wreaths
Fresh Fraser-fir boughs form plain or decorated wreaths. Decorations combine handmade weather-resistant ribbon bows, magnolia, cones, berries and other greens; ribbon and greenery can be customised. Natural 12-inch wreaths are $24 and 16-inch wreaths $28; decorated prices vary.
| Selection | Price |
|---|---|
| Natural Fraser wreath, 12in | $24 |
| Natural Fraser wreath, 16in | $28 |
| Decorated wreath | Varies with size, ribbon and greenery |
Payment and the lot approach
Cash, checks, Zelle and Venmo are accepted; a fee applies to Venmo, with the amount not posted. Ask before paying. The lot is at Route 360 East and Creighton Parkway, near Kroger and TGI Fridays.
The operator’s FAQ and contact view list Monday–Thursday 3–7pm, Friday 3–8pm, Saturday 9am–8pm and Sunday 10am–7pm, but the site footer has a different noon/weekend pattern. Confirm the day’s actual opening before travelling. The recurring opening is the Friday after Thanksgiving at 9am.
