Choose your Christmas tree.
Virginia Garden Supply’s Christmas offering includes locally grown precut Fraser and Balsam firs, with a fresh base cut made onsite. Fresh and live trees arrive seasonally near Thanksgiving; the cut-fir species list does not identify the rooted-tree selection.
For scent and appearance, the shop describes Fraser fir as the subtler-scented option with a blue cast to the needles, and Balsam fir as the more fragrant choice. Compare the individual trees at the garden centre; these descriptions do not establish a particular height, grade or price.
The Christmas shop runs roughly from early November into January. A tree-shopping trip can be paired with ornaments, bows, lights, tree toppers, stands, nativity and advent pieces, German smokers and pyramids, and other home decorations.

Wreaths, garland and holiday plants
Fresh wreaths use boxwood, arborvitae, white pine, spruce or mixed greens. Garlands come in varied lengths. Poinsettias are offered in four sizes, with amaryllis bulbs and kits and bulk paperwhites for gifts. These holiday-plant pot sizes are separate from Christmas-tree heights.
Seasonal hours
Ordinary hours are Monday–Saturday 8am–5pm, Sunday closed. During November and December the operator may stay open later Monday–Saturday when weather permits; call for the exact closing time. Do not rely on an older tourism notice of holiday Sunday opening.
Ask the public garden-centre line about current tree sizes, prices and collection arrangements. The same number serves wider garden and landscaping enquiries, so specify Christmas trees.
