Choose your Christmas tree.
Valley Green is a family Christmas-tree farm with about 4.5 acres of trees in its published description. The visitor approach is from Childress Road onto Dry Valley Road, where the farm is on the right. Use the farm’s directions rather than treating a Radford postal reference as a city-centre location.
Field cutting is not allowed after dark because of the farm’s insurance conditions. Plan your arrival with enough daylight to choose and finish the cut, even when a posted closing time is later. Check the current species, sizes and cutting arrangements directly before travelling.

The latest posted weekend pattern
The latest complete hours page lists Saturdays 10am–6pm, Sundays 1–6pm and Black Friday 10am–6pm. That is a historical posted pattern rather than a newly confirmed calendar; check the next opening and available trees.
Older Christmas extras to check
An earlier official farm guide lists cocoa, snacks, crafts and children’s games. Those are historical extras with no fresh inclusion promise; confirm them before making them a reason for the trip.
Book photography separately
Photographers can request a reserved spot for family pictures in the tree fields. The linked agreement lists $60 for one session, $100 for three sessions or $115 for a season pass. Confirm what a session covers, the available dates and the current terms before paying; the public first page does not give the session duration.
The older photography notice excludes November 23–27. Ask for the next season’s permitted dates rather than carrying that blackout forward automatically. The agreement lists mailed check, Cash App and Zelle payment; its mailing address is separate from the visitor farm.
| Photography option | Listed price |
|---|---|
| One session | $60 |
| Three sessions | $100 |
| Season pass | $115 |
