Choose your Christmas tree.
Spruceberry offers choose-and-cut white, Scotch and Virginia pine from 5 to 10 feet, alongside precut North Carolina Fraser firs from 7 to 10 feet. The formats give you a field outing or an already-harvested tree in one stop. Check remaining stock before travelling, as selling can end when trees sell out.
The announced Christmas season covers weekends from November 27 through December 20, with opening Friday beginning at 9:30am. Confirm each later selling day’s hours; the taproom timetable is a different schedule.

The farm visit.
Farm activities, food and drinks
The Christmas program names hayrides, cornhole and Otto’s Mining Sluice, along with food, live music, farm wine, sangria and craft beer. Admission to the farm is free, while purchases and special events have charges. Check the day’s activity timetable and prices rather than assuming every offering is included with a tree.
Santa photos have separate announced dates and a charge. Wreath-making workshops use farm-sourced fir, pine and cedar and include festive refreshments; book their specific sessions separately.
Pan for stones, fossils and shark teeth
Otto’s Mining Sluice is a hands-on outdoor activity: buy a bag of mining material, then pan and sift it for the included stones or fossils. The choices range from a small stone mixture to larger mixed collections and a two-gallon bucket. Ask a farm team member for help and confirm that the sluice is operating on your Christmas visiting day; the material is a separate purchase.
The different bags make the contents part of the choice. The yellow bag mixes stones with an arrowhead, crystal, shark teeth, fossils and a geode piece; the blue bag concentrates on fossils, shark teeth and a geode piece. Larger mixed bags include additional material rather than promising that every bag contains the same finds.
| Selection and contents | Price |
|---|---|
| Red bag — 5–6oz stone mixture | $8.95 |
| Arrowhead bag — assorted arrowheads | $9.95 |
| Yellow bag — 8–10oz mixed stones, arrowhead, crystal, shark teeth, fossils and geode piece | $12.95 |
| Blue bag — 5–6oz fossils, shark teeth and a geode piece | $12.95 |
| Ocean collection — shells, shark teeth and sea glass | $12.95 |
| Polished-stone bag — polished gemstones and minerals | $13.95 |
| Celebration bag — 8–10oz stones, small amethyst druze and geode piece | $13.95 |
| Shark-teeth bag | $13.95 |
| Green bag — about 10–12oz; Red Bag stones plus emeralds, rubies, quartz point and arrowhead | $14.95 |
| Purple bag — about 14oz amethyst, citrine, quartz and geode piece | $15.95 |
| Cloth bag and small bucket — about 1lb; Green Bag contents plus shark teeth, fossils, and one large or two medium amethyst druze | $29.95 |
| Two-gallon mining bucket — a large mixture of mining material | $58.00 |
Lunch and a separate evening at the farm
The taproom kitchen lists pizza, wings, tacos, sandwiches and snacks. Posted examples include a $10 barbecue sandwich with slaw, chips and a pickle; a $5 hot dog with chips and a pickle; $5.50 children’s chicken nuggets; and a giant pretzel at $9.50, with beer cheese an additional $0.75. Confirm the day’s menu and kitchen opening when planning a meal.
The separate evening calendar lists karaoke on November 27 and December 11, line dancing on December 4 and 18, and The Game Changers on December 5, each 6–9pm. These are evening events rather than extra tree-selling hours; check each event’s admission or booking terms before staying for it.
The delivery and setup package
A limited, separately booked package includes a selected Fraser fir or white pine, a new heavy-duty stand to keep, delivery, indoor placement and levelling, and loose-needle cleanup. Deliveries are on selected weekdays beginning the week of November 30.
The described area extends from Cumberland toward West End, Midlothian, Richmond, Farmville and Powhatan. Confirm your address, slot, chosen size and complete package price before booking; this service is not included in ordinary field-tree purchases.
