Choose your Christmas tree.
Ostlund offers cut-your-own Norway spruce, Scotch and white pine and Douglas fir, with a limited quantity of precut Fraser firs. The grower advises choosing early because supply is limited. Handsaws, a mechanical shaker and netting are provided, and each tree purchase includes a free ornament.
Children can look for the hidden candy-cane tree, and the sled outside the springhouse provides a family-photo setting. Cash and Venmo at @heartlandenterprises are accepted; debit and credit cards are not. The Sprucedale Drive farm address and 540-746-0302 contact are confirmed on the operator’s practical pages.
The posted field-tree price is $65 regardless of size for the four named field species. Precut Fraser firs have separate height prices; the catalog jumps from 5–6 feet to 7–8 feet without a 6–7-foot price. Check that missing tier directly rather than inferring a price from its neighbours. These are undated posted prices on a site with mixed older-season headings and dates; confirm the current amounts and whether tax or other charges apply.

The farm visit.
Heartland Christmas Market
The market brings artisan sellers into renovated lamb barns, with food trucks, hot chocolate and cider, a children’s barrel train, live music and a self-guided Seek & Find game. These are market-day offerings, not a promise that every tree-selling day has every vendor or activity.
The published market baseline is Thanksgiving Friday and Saturday 9am–5pm, Sunday noon–5pm, then the next Saturday 9am–5pm and Sunday noon–5pm. Check the current Heartland announcement for the actual seasonal dates and any activity charges.
Photography and greenery
The farm’s wreaths use a Southern mix of Fraser fir, pine and boxwood, and every listed wreath includes a coloured bow. The 20–22-inch finished wreath is $30, 24–26 inches is $38 and 30–32 inches is $44. A separate $5 Bundle O’ Boughs combines white and Scotch pine with a ribbon for a door or vase. Cash and the farm’s listed Venmo arrangement apply; no debit or credit cards.
Casual family photos at the sled are distinct from professional sessions: only the two photographers named by the operator are authorised to use the farm professionally. Arrange that work through them rather than arriving for an unbooked commercial session.
| Finished choice | Price and included decoration |

| 24–26-inch mixed wreath | $38; coloured bow included |

Full-service and self-service days
The operator’s practical page also lists a third December weekend for full service and weekday self-service through December 24, while its market page lists fewer market dates. The practical page has a mismatched year heading, so confirm the actual current full-service and self-service arrangements. For GPS use 8050 Sprucedale Drive; the farm lies at Kieffer Road and Sprucedale Drive with parking by the netter shed.
