Choose your Christmas tree.
Nuckols grows white pine, Norway spruce, Murray cypress and Carolina Sapphire, with other cypress choices listed by the grower. Fresh precut Fraser firs form a separate selection. The field prices change at the posted height bands, while precut Frasers are priced by a one-foot range; check the tag if your tree falls between the stated bands.
An adult can borrow a supplied handsaw, with staff assistance available on request. Powered saws are prohibited. Baling twine is supplied for tying the tree to your vehicle. Keep the tree in water after taking it home and recut the trunk if its base has dried.

Compare scent, colour and needle retention
Nuckols describes the field varieties differently, so your tree choice can start with the look and scent you want rather than price alone. White pine and Murray cypress are the lighter-scented choices; Carolina Sapphire brings blue foliage and a citrus aroma. The farm describes Norway spruce as having fair needle retention, compared with excellent retention for the other choices below.

The published field rate is per foot. Prices for white pine, Murray cypress and Carolina Sapphire are the same within each listed height band; Norway spruce has its own rate.

Greenery and the Christmas shop
Fresh handmade wreaths come on 12-, 18- and 24-inch rings; the finished greenery extends several inches beyond that ring size. Wreaths start at $24, and a 20-foot garland or roping is $30. The Christmas shop also carries seasonal decor, gifts, stands, watering sticks and tree-removal bags.

Approach, payment and dogs
The farm is on Route 60, about half a mile east of Cumberland Courthouse near Trents Mill Road. Look for the white Christmas Tree Plantation sign.
Cash and Visa, Mastercard, Discover and American Express are accepted; the farm prefers no checks. Well-behaved dogs are welcome on a leash, with cleanup.
