Choose your Christmas tree.
Miller Farms’ current Christmas page advertises choose-and-cut trees and a separate fresh-cut selection at its Orange Plank Road farm in Spotsylvania County. Field species described are Norway spruce, a small number of Colorado blue spruce and Canaan fir. White pine is expressly unavailable while the new crop grows; it should not be treated as current cutting stock.
Fresh-cut trees are brought from several Southwest Virginia growers and range from 5–12 feet. Posted price bands are $99–$109 for 5–7 feet, $129–$159 for 7–9 feet and $199–$499 for 9–12 feet. The current page announces precut availability November 20–21 and restocking from Monday November 23, while an earlier tile says November 21; check the seasonal update before the first trip.
The field-opening tile says November 28, but individual field-variety blocks still display closed notices and the field price list is an earlier seasonal baseline. Confirm ready-to-cut stock rather than assuming the tile reopens every species. Published field prices are Norway spruce $69–$89 at 4–7 feet and $109–$199 at 8–11 feet; blue spruce $79 at 5–6 feet, $89 at 6–7 and $109 at 7–8; Canaan fir $79–$109 at 5–8 and $149–$199 at 9–11.

The farm visit.
Handmade wreaths and the Christmas market
The Christmas market joins the tree sale with gifts and local shopping. Wreaths are handmade on the farm from fresh greens, including round and candy-cane shapes, with preorder advertised from November 16. Hot chocolate and coffee have their own advertised November 2 start; they are purchases alongside the tree rather than included refreshments.
Field-tree baseline prices
These posted field price bands belong to the latest detailed prior-season list. Current field-variety blocks still show closed indicators, so confirm availability and price before selecting a tree.

Christmas and winter opening
The current home page gives nominal market hours of 9am–5pm and directs visitors to Winter Hours from December 20. Use the Christmas page and seasonal updates for tree openings, current stock and holiday exceptions. The market also sells seasonal eggnog, cider, produce, meat, coffee, ice cream and shop goods. Autumn poultry processing is a different programme.
Compare the field choices
Norway spruce has firm branches and wider spaces that suit heavier ornaments. The farm stresses putting it into water promptly and keeping it away from heat. Canaan fir offers strong branches with softer short needles and a full shape.
The small blue-spruce selection tends to be shorter, with stiff branches and pricklier needles. Compare the available tree in person and check that the field is open: the announced opening tile coexists with closed variety blocks, and white pine is not currently offered.
