Choose your Christmas tree.
Joe’s Trees is a third-generation, 50-acre farm in the Sinking Creek Valley. Its choose-and-cut selection covers Fraser, Canaan, concolor and Korean fir; white and Scotch pine; blue and Norway spruce; and arborvitae. Published heights range from 6–15 feet. Call ahead if a larger tree is the reason for your trip, as the farm asks visitors to check availability.
Bow saws are supplied and chainsaws are not allowed. The grower’s service description includes free tree shaking and baling, easy access to the choose-and-cut area and assistance for visitors with disabilities. Ask about the help suited to your visit; this is a specific field-assistance offering rather than a promise that every part of the farm is accessible.
A separate published farm offering also lists pre-cut trees, free admission and free parking. Check the ready-cut selection when planning your visit; the weekend hayride keeps its separate price and weather conditions.

Weekend hayrides and Santa
Hayrides run on weekends after Thanksgiving during operating hours, when weather permits. The charge is $1 per person, with children age 5 and under riding free. Santa sometimes visits on early-December weekends; a tree visit does not guarantee a meeting.

Made-to-order greenery and the gift shop
Choose a traditional wreath, one of the farm’s signature designs or a custom arrangement. Kissing balls, mantelpieces, tabletop centerpieces, swags, mailbox toppers, roping, boughs and custom bows are part of the supported greenery offering. The gift shop carries ornaments, holiday decor, prewrapped gifts and canned goods.
The linked gift catalog includes jams, preserves, pickles and chow chow. Check the shop’s available selection if you are planning food gifts alongside the tree.
The operator-supplied farm profile also lists honey and local meats. Call ahead for frozen beef, lamb or buffalo availability rather than assuming those items are always stocked.
Check the opening announcement
The farm’s opening notice combines “Saturday” with November 22, which does not agree with the current calendar. Confirm the opening before travelling. The Christmas page lists a December 5–6 open house and a tentative December 19 close; the farm may finish earlier as trees sell. Other events on the farm have separate seasons and admission arrangements.
Arrange a photography session
Professional photography is available during autumn and the Christmas choose-and-cut season, with every session arranged ahead. Sessions are $50 per hour. Return the request form with a $50 non-refundable deposit, which counts toward the session total; the farm then confirms the day and time. Complete the waiver before arrival and check in at the retail shop when you arrive.
For the photography deposit, the request form offers credit-card payment with a 3.5% fee or a mailed check received within 10 days of scheduling. Without payment within that period, the date and time will not be held. Tree shoppers have priority in the fields, including the right to choose a tree being used as a backdrop. Use designated parking, keep vehicles and ATVs out of the fields, and keep any pets leashed.
The photography rules also require permission before approaching or using farm machinery and tools. Aggressive pets may be required to return to their vehicles.

October group visits
School, church, civic and senior groups can arrange guided weekday tours in October, separately from the Christmas selling visit. School tours discuss pumpkins, Christmas-tree growth and the environment, and last about 1–2 hours depending on the group’s age, size and abilities. Teachers are asked to bring drinking water because there is no onsite water fountain.
Group dates and prices are arranged with the farm. The shop is available to chaperones after school tours; these October arrangements do not establish a Christmas-season group package.
