Choose your Christmas tree.
Celtic Knot lists precut Fraser firs from 5 to 13 feet and white pines from 6 to 9 feet. A free tree-care package comes with the purchased tree: a removal bag, preservative to make at least a gallon and other small extras. Its advertised $22 value is the package value, not a tree price.
The homepage also mentions red cedars on the property to cut, while another paragraph says growing trees are not ready. Check field readiness before planning to cut your own; the FAQ’s growing Leyland cypress and cedar list does not establish that those varieties are all ready for harvest.

The farm visit.
A Celtic gift shop
The shop carries gourmet coffee and tea, handmade wreaths, ornaments, jewelry, willow baskets and flower crowns, candles and Celtic-themed gifts. Wooden ornaments can be personalized. Selection varies with the season; these are separate purchases alongside the tree.
Bonfires and hayrides
The recurring first-Saturday gathering has shop hours of noon–8pm and a free community bonfire from 5–8pm. Hayrides are offered seasonally when weather permits. Check the particular event before combining it with tree shopping; neither a hayride nor the monthly event is promised with every tree purchase.
Professional photography passes
Professional photographers use a purchased seasonal or yearly pass rather than hourly bookings. Sessions run Friday–Monday, with at least 48 hours’ notice and confirmation of availability. Pass numbers are limited; a canceled session can be rescheduled within the purchased season.
Limited parking means the farm asks photographers to avoid public opening hours; clients may owe admission when it applies. Expect uneven or muddy ground and wear closed-toe shoes. Vehicles cannot enter tree or flower fields. Carry props or bring a wagon, arrange assistance ahead, and remove props afterward. Dogs must stay leashed; smoking, vaping and fake snow are prohibited. Professional Santa characters cannot appear during public hours.
| Pass | Price and dates |
|---|---|
| Summer | $150; May 1–August 31 |
| Fall | $200; September 1–October 31 |
| Holiday | $250; November 1–December 15 |
| Yearly | $500; confirm the covered year |
Find the right entrance
The operator publishes Smithfield as its locality without a street address. Arrange the actual approach when booking or checking your visit rather than navigating to Smithfield’s town center.
