Boys Home’s public choose-and-cut farm is on Bear Wallow Flat Lane in West Augusta, separate from the institution’s Covington campus. Tree sales support the school and its students’ practical work: students plant seedlings, tend the fields and help with winter sales. Wholesale cutting and delivery are a different channel from this public farm visit.
The latest published visitor calendar lists November 28–30, December 6–7 and December 13, 10am–4pm. These are the prior seasonal baseline, not a newly confirmed opening; check the farm’s announcement before travelling and ask about ready-to-cut varieties, sizes and prices.

The gift shop and seasonal visits
Follow the farm signs to the tree fields and gift shop. Santa has appeared for a specifically announced photo session; check current event details before making that the reason for the visit. The tree-farm phone is 540-939-4106, separate from the school administration.
Finding Bear Wallow Flat Lane
From the Staunton side, the operator’s approach follows Route 250 to Deerfield Valley Road, then Old Parkersburg Turnpike and Bear Wallow Flat Lane. Use the farm address for the final approach rather than the institution’s Covington postal address.
