Choose your Christmas tree.

Field cutting and pre-cut shopping are both offered. Collect a field map and a hand saw at the barn, then choose the tree before cutting close to ground level. The farm can also cut a chosen tree by appointment for an additional $40.

Pre-tagging is described for November 1–15, generally 1–5pm with weekend times varying, by appointment; its published dates do not state a year. The farm recommends waiting until December 5 to cut spruce. Trees are priced as whole trees, and cutting a smaller top out of a larger tree incurs the full tree price plus a $25 leader-cutting charge.

The farm visit.

A field visit and tree processing

Ride the hay wagon back from the fields with your tree. At the processing area, the crew shakes it, drills it if needed, bales it and helps tie it onto the vehicle.

Watch your footing around holes and stumps, and leave the saws to adults. If you would like staff to cut the tree, book the separate $40 service; it is not included in the tree-price guide.

While the tree is being processed, have complimentary homemade hot cocoa and homegrown popcorn. Make a short stop with the barnyard animals, too; corn snacks for them are offered separately from the complimentary refreshments.

Christmas store and Piney Pets

Browse ornaments, nutcrackers, tree toppers, nativities and other holiday decorations in the Christmas store. Fresh wreaths, garland and swags sit alongside tree supplies, with stands priced from $15 to more than $100.

Adult and infant grave blankets are available by request. At Piney Pets, make a stuffed animal with the Build A Pet activity; this is a separate retail purchase rather than an included part of buying a tree.

Glimmer Lights train outings

Take a roughly 20-minute ride through Glimmer Lights on a separately ticketed train with timed departures. Posted outing details include cocoa and a cookie. Arrive 30 minutes before the booked train time.

Adults and children of walking age need tickets. A missed train does not qualify for a refund or transfer, except that you may move to a later available departure that day. Train cars are not wheelchair accessible. The farm checks the weather day by day and describes running in rain or snow.

Glimmer Lights is announced to return November 21, 2026. Earlier posted evening details list Thursday–Sunday through December 21; check the 2026 departures when booking.

Santa, the Grinch and wreath workshops

Join Lunch with the Grinch, Breakfast with Santa or Lunch with Santa through Piney’s separately booked 2026 holiday meals. Follow the farm’s event page for ticket releases; these events are separate from ordinary tree shopping.

Making a holiday wreath

Make a holiday wreath at a separately booked workshop, posted at $65 per person with limited session space. Choose a session through the farm’s Christmas event information; the workshop is separate from a tree purchase.

Posted Santa visit details list noon–4pm on Saturdays and Sundays, with Glimmer Lights appearances from 6–8:30pm. Check the session arrangements before planning the visit.

Returns and choosing the whole tree

Choose carefully before cutting. Refunds are at management’s discretion in special circumstances, with no automatic tree-return guarantee.

The price scale has separate spruce, two pine-group and two fir-group prices at every 6–10ft tier. The minimum fir charge also applies to shorter trees, and cutting just the top of a larger tree does not make it a cheaper small-tree purchase.
