Find your tree
Choose your Christmas tree.
Southern Hollow describes itself as a family-owned and operated “you choose, we cut” Christmas tree farm. Its trees are cypress: a farm post names “a beautiful selection of cypress varieties, including Lelands, Carolina Sapphires, and Green Giants”, and the farm’s price sheet lists only trees, wreaths and crosses.
The farm says its tree supply is limited and recommends planning an early visit to find your tree. Trees are priced by height tier, and the price sheet does not match a variety to a price, so ask which varieties are in the field when you go.

Choose-and-cut cypress and prices
The sign at the farm’s entrance reads “Choose & Cut”, and the farm’s own description is “you choose, we cut”: you choose the tree and the farm cuts it. The farm names Leyland cypress (it writes “Lelands”), Carolina Sapphire and Green Giant, and a post from the farm says its tree supply is limited this season.
Trees are priced in four height tiers. The sheet prints each rate as a dollar amount followed by “ft.”, which reads as a price per foot of height; the farm does not say how a tree’s height is measured. For trees smaller or larger than the tiers, the farm’s sheet says to call.
| Tree height | Price |
|---|---|
| 5 to 8 feet | $12 per foot |
| 8½ to 10 feet | $13 per foot |
| 10½ to 12 feet | $14 per foot |
| 12½ feet and above | $15 per foot |
| Smaller or larger than the tiers | Not published; call the farm |

Opening day and weather
The farm’s price-sheet post says its official opening day is Saturday, November 28, one day after Black Friday.
In its most recent published season the farm posted a weather notice: on a rainy Sunday morning it said it would not open until 1:00pm that day. No standing rain or closure rule appears on its page.
Wreaths and crosses
The farm’s price sheet has a section headed “Christmas Wreaths & Crosses” and gives wreaths at $37 to $65. A recent post from the farm advertises trees and live wreaths for sale. Crosses are named in the heading but carry no price or sizes, and the sheet does not say which wreath size costs which price.
The sheet gives wreaths their own price.
| Item | Price | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Wreaths | $37 to $65 | Sizes are not matched to prices |
| Crosses | Not published | Named in the sheet’s heading; no sizes |
Christmas mini photography sessions
The farm posted in August that it was booking Christmas mini sessions and asked people to contact it early to get the best day and time. In September it said its trees are beautiful and it is open for photography sessions, and it asked anyone who had not booked to reach it through Facebook Messenger or by phone. The farm says it is not offering prop rentals this season.
Sessions are by booking only. The farm has not published a session price, length or photographer, so contact it for the details.
