Choose your Christmas tree.
Wirthmore offers Balsam, Fraser and Canaan firs in its choose-and-cut fields, with pre-cut trees available as another route to a real tree. Saws are supplied, and shaking and baling carry no additional charge. It is a practical combination for families who want the field outing and help preparing the tree for transport.
Fresh wreaths and crafts add a smaller shopping stop, and refreshments are offered at the farm. The refreshments’ availability does not establish that every item is included in a tree price.

A weekend tree trip
The selling pattern is weekends beginning the weekend before Thanksgiving, plus the Friday after Thanksgiving, from 8am to 4pm. Use that early closing time when planning a field search and confirm the day’s selection before traveling for a particular size.
The approach from Mineral Point is about six miles south on Highway 23, then four miles east on County Road G. Use the County Road G farm address for navigation rather than the Darlington postal locality alone.
