Tree season: Opens the day after Thanksgiving
Choose your Christmas tree.
Van Ert’s third-generation family farm offers both choose-and-cut and pre-cut Christmas trees beginning the day after Thanksgiving. You can plan a field outing or a shorter stop for a harvested tree, then add greenery for the rest of the house.
The seasonal range includes wreaths, porch pots, bough bundles, garland and decorative pieces. The farm selects and freshly cuts boughs for its handmade holiday products, so compare the forms and sizes for the space you want to fill.

The farm visit.
Greenery beyond the front door
Fresh wreaths, porch pots, bough bundles, garland and seasonal gnomes accompany the tree offering. The farm makes its greenery from boughs it selects and cuts itself. Retail designs and available stock vary; the separately arranged DIY packages below have their own prices and conditions.
Make wreaths and porch pots at your own venue
Van Ert’s Skip the Class program takes the making to your home, group or business. In the delivered DIY option, the farm brings fresh evergreens, wreath rings, porch pots, decorations and tools so your group can work at its own pace, then collects leftover supplies and equipment the next day.
The trainer-led party is arranged for a date agreed with the farm. Staff arrive early with boughs, equipment, decorations and tarps, then teach the group to make wreaths and porch pots. Orders are offered in increments of 20; a group under 20 is subject to an additional charge. Wreaths and porch pots can be mixed in an order. Confirm the order quantity and any extra charge with Lance before booking.
The same program also has one-day fundraiser and business-to-business formats: the host sets a ticket price and presells places, while Van Ert provides instruction at the host’s space. These are separately arranged off-site activities, not workshops included with a retail tree visit.
| Item | Posted price | Arrangements |
|---|---|---|
| Wreath | $35 each | Delivered DIY, trainer-led party or arranged group format |
| Porch pot | $47.50 each | Mix with wreaths; confirm minimum order and any additional charge |
A separate fundraising program
Schools, clubs and nonprofit groups can apply for a separate holiday greenery fundraiser. Orders are accepted from mid-September through mid-October, using printed forms or a password-protected webpage. The organization earns 20% on each item. Delivery can be arranged anywhere in Wisconsin for a scheduled date in mid-November.
Use the farm’s online application to start a program and contact Lance Van Ert about available products and the delivery date. These are fundraising arrangements, separate from retail tree visits and their pricing.
Confirm the farm’s sale days, daily hours, available tree sizes and handling arrangements before traveling to County Road V. Those details matter especially if you need a large tree or assistance bringing it home.
