Choose your Christmas tree.

Sunset Acres offers choose-and-cut and fresh pre-cut trees, with Blue and White spruce, Canaan and Fraser fir, and Concolor among its listed varieties. Only tagged trees may be cut; tags identify height and price. The per-foot rate is $12 without netting or $13 with netting.

The farm lends saws and toboggans for bringing a tree back, and the sleds can also carry children. Chainsaws are not allowed, although you may bring a reciprocating saw. Pre-cuts are offered on the farm’s open weekends on a first-come basis.

Fraser’s upward-turning branches suit heavier decorations, while Blue and White spruce offer firmer needles and a symmetrical outline. Concolor, also called White fir, has a citrus scent; Canaan supplies another fragrant fir choice. Compare the trees actually tagged for sale rather than expecting every listed variety at every height.

Bring the tree home yourself

Twine is free, but securing the tree is your responsibility: staff do not tie it down and the farm does not deliver. Tree bags and stands are available to purchase. Cash, local checks and credit cards are accepted.

Keep pets in your vehicle. This policy is different from several nearby farms that welcome dogs in the fields, so plan ahead if a dog normally joins your tree outing.

Seasonal sale days

Sales take place on selected days. The previously announced five-day schedule is November 28, 29 and 30 and December 6 and 7, each 10am–4pm. Check the farm’s next announced calendar before making the drive.
